Reviews
Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Most Uncomfortable BackPack Ever Made I used this bag for 3-months and finally switched back to my Tumi. This is an extremely good looking bag with good organization and surprising storage capacity but as a backpack it is pure torture: 1. The shoulder straps are too short and where they transition from leather to webbing rubs uncomfortably on the top of your shoulder. Even when open to the fullest extent, the straps are so short it's hard to put the bag on and after it's on it's too snug 2. The large brass lobster-claw clasps that connect the straps to the bag dig into your side 3. The back of the bag lies flat on your back so there is no ventilation 4. The bag weighs a ton 5. The separate shoulder strap is too long and the bag hangs below your knees July 27, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Versatile, Beautiful, Bicep-builder The versatility of this bag is impressive. It serves as a briefcase, and shoulder bag when I need to go hands free, and a backpack for those occasions when i over-stuff it and weigh it down. The shoulder straps are wide and padded, very comfortable. The leather is wonderful, as you'd expect. I have a few of reservations about recommending the bag. First I experienced some quality control issues with the stitching in the smallest pocket. The stitching became undone and I had to exchange it. This actually happened twice resulting in two exchanges. AE was extraordinary and offered a replacement or mending services. Another concern is that the bag'a main opening is closed with a zipper rather than a flap, which would make me concerned about carrying my laptop in there in bad weather. Finally, it's rather heavy for the type of bag it is, when compared to similar options. I throw in a phone, a book, a tablet, and it always feels heavier than I expected. However, I think the benefits far outweigh those concerns. It's beautiful, rugged, and eye-catching. I've gotten a lot of compliments for it. It's highly functional. There are a lot pockets. Just when you think you've seen all the pockets, you find another pocket, or a sleeve, or a pouch. Great tool for someone who likes to stay organized. I would recommend this bag. July 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I got this right before a big trip. It is great. Holds everything I need in the plane. Perfectly designed and beautiful. Highly recommend. July 2, 2016

Hello,
In looking at the pictures of this backpack, I cannot tell for sure where the backpack straps attach. I see two brass rings located at the top of the bag, but I also see the backpack straps tucked into the back zipper pocket. Are the straps attached inside the pocket?

Thanks for your help.

Answer:
The back straps are attached inside the back pocket, and they can be tucked into the pocket so you can attach the included all-leather strap to the brass D-rings on the top or bottom of the bag.

Hi
I am interested in this bag, it looks like it converts from backpack to a messenger or cross body bag. Could you confirm that it converts from backpack to messenger? Does the backpack straps become a shoulder strap? Also can it attach to a carry on suitcase ?

Answer:
Yes, it can be converted to a cross-body bag. The back straps tuck into the back pocket, so you can attach the included all-leather strap to the brass D-rings on the top or bottom of the bag. It is not designed to be attached to a suitcase.

The website says 15 x 15.5 inches, but it doesn't look squarrish at all, more like a rectangle with a height at least 1/3 more than its width ... or so it appears on the photos.
Do you confirm the 15 x 15.5 ?

Additionally, can I buy this bag in France ? Any delivery costs ? return policy ?

Thanks for your answers

Answer:
Yes, you should be fine. I was *barely* able to fit my 2011 Macbook Pro 15" and the bag is still able to zipper close. This is a model with an optical drive so it's thicker than today's laptops. If you have a recent model laptop, you will probably have slightly more clearance.

You had a good quality Hulme backpack on your site last year. This backpack seems like it would be the same quality. I'm interested but would like to know who the manufacturer is.
