I've used Kiwi shoe polish for my entire life, mainly because it's the most popular shoe polish in the world and is used by every military in the western world because of the spit shine it gives you.
Shoe polish is pretty generic, with not much difference in quality between the large manufacturers. The reason I purchased two tubes of this shoe polish, which is probably produced by Fiebing's Kelly Shoe polish, is because of the custom colours offered that you can't buy off the shelf.
The custom colours account for the price premium over normal Kelly's shoe polish. Some of the colours are labeled so that you can easily match the colour of the polish to the colour of the shoe, but not always. Wish they would offer a burgundy polish for their burgundy shoes.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

Apply our Allen Edmonds Conditioner Cleaner regularly to remove surface area residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. To achieve a fine luster, wipe shoes with a damp cloth and allow them to dry at room temperature. Then, apply a coat of Allen Edmonds Shoe Cream or Polish as needed, or desired for shine, with a cloth or horsehair dauber and allow to air dry. Remove excess polish by brushing with a horsehair shine brush and buff to a desired shine.

For the Weybridge in Walnut Calf, we recommend using Allen Edmonds Conditioner Cleaner, either our Premium Shoe Polish or Carnauba Wax, and Heel and Sole Edge Dressing. Use Allen Edmonds Conditioner Cleaner to remove any surface area residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. To achieve a fine luster, wipe shoes with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Follow by applying a coat of Allen Edmonds Shoe Polish in Walnut or Carnauba Wax in Neutral. Brown Heel and Sole Edge Dressing should be applied for this particular style.

Allen Edmonds Shoe Polish is best used for regular polishing and achieving a lustrous glow while Carnauba Wax is known for imparting a richer glow to fine leathers. The choice between the two comes down to individual preference on how shiny or rich in color you want your Allen Edmonds shoes to be.

I have a pair of AE's in walnut, but at the moment I only have chestnut shoe polish. Will I be committing a grave error if I were to use the chestnut polish on the shoe?

Our Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish in Chestnut is typically recommended for tan and chestnut colored calfskin leathers. Depending on the shoe and type of leather, we typically recommend using our Walnut Premium Shoe Polish for your walnut colored styles.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

For the Park Avenue in Black Custom Calf, we recommend using Conditioner Cleaner, Black Premium Shoe Polish, Black Shoe Cream, Black Carnauba Wax, and Black Heel & Sole Edge Dressing to care for your shoes.

Allen Edmonds Shoe Polish, the most popular option, is best used for regular polishing and achieving a lustrous glow; our Allen Edmonds Shoe Cream, which is used for darker colors like Blacks and Browns rather than Walnuts, is formulated to renew the color of your calfskin shoes; Carnauba Wax is known for imparting a richer glow to fine leathers. The choice between Shoe Cream, Shoe Polish, and Carnauba Wax really comes down to individual preference on how shiny or rich in color you want your Allen Edmonds shoes to be.

I am new to the world of AE, and I am shopping for polish for my new acquisitions: a Delray in dark brown and the Player's Shoe in walnut calf. What color polish would you recommend for each of these shoes?

Thanks!

Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

For the Delray in Brown Burnished Calf, we recommend using Conditioner Cleaner, Dark Brown Premium Polish, Dark Brown Shoe Cream, and Brown Carnauba Wax to care for your shoes. The Player’s Shoe in Walnut Calf requires Conditioner Cleaner, Walnut Premium Shoe Polish, and Neutral Carnauba Wax.

Use Allen Edmonds Conditioner Cleaner to remove surface residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. Based on color and individual preference, Allen Edmonds Shoe Cream, Shoe Polish or Carnauba Wax can be used to polish shoes. Shoe Polish is best used for regular polishing and achieving a lustrous glow; Carnauba Wax is known for imparting a richer glow to fine leathers; our Allen Edmonds Shoe Cream, which is used for darker colors like Brown rather than Walnut, is formulated to renew the color of your calfskin shoes.

We do not recommend polishing any of our belt styles for fear of the polish rubbing off on closely worn clothes. Unfortunately, scuff marks are susceptible to occur over time.

it would be great if you could post a picture with a swatch of each polish color. i realize monitors don't all reflect color accurately, but a swatch is the only way people can get a relative (not absolute) sense of each color.

The following brown-tone polishes have been ranked from light to dark: Cognac, Chestnut, Walnut, Chili, Saddle, Mocha, and Dark Brown.

Bourbon Premium Shoe Polish is very close in color to our Dark Brown, but with a little bit of a reddish tone. Brandy Premium Shoe Polish is almost identical to our Walnut in color.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

Allen Edmonds creates shoes with the highest standards of craftsmanship and style to give you the best experience possible.

Our commitment to excellence starts with ensuring you have the right shoes for your personal needs and sizing. With more and more customers preferring the convenience of online shopping, we've developed easy-to-use tools to help ensure you take accurate measurements and get the proper fit with your shoes. To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
