Cedar Shoe Trees overall quality is very good but they are very pricey. i feel this is a case of you are paying for the brand name and not quality of product. February 19, 2015
Must Have Shoe Accessory This is a must have shoe accessory if you own any Allen Edmonds pair. I have a Nordstorm shoe tree, which doesn't have great size adjusting bar. Allen Edmonds did a great job with the cedar heartwood and simple design. The usual advantages of shoe tree remain the same. February 18, 2015
Excellant shoe trees Great quality and functionality. Superior fit and construction for same price of low quality trees you would find elsewhere February 12, 2015
an excellent product I have 20 or so pairs of these Allen Edmonds shoe trees; all are excellent. Once, I strayed and bought some less costly trees---saved a few dollars. The quality was nowhere near what I had become used to with the Allen Edmonds shoe trees. It was money wasted. My advice: stick with the proven winner. February 12, 2015

Cedar products usually produce a fresh cedar aroma for about 6 to 12 months. After that, we recommend to periodically renew the wood's natural aromatic properties with a light sanding.

We recommend a Large Full-tow shoe tree for a size 11.5B men's shoe. The Full-Toe shoe trees should have a snug fit inside the shoe, however, they should not be too tight. You are welcome to also try the Combination Shoe trees since they are slightly narrower than the Full-Toe shoe trees and they are also more flexible. Ultimately, with shoe trees sometimes it comes down to trial and error depending on the style and shoe size, but keep in mind that if they don’t fit, you can always return or exchange them.

Answer:
I wear size 9B AE shoes and use the Men's Small. I'm afraid the Men's Medium will be too wide for the B width. My trees fit snugly side to side with only some minor stretching.

If I buy more AE shoes trees, though, I'm going to get the combination rather than the full toe. This should eliminate the side to side stretching completely.

Following the size chart and the suggestion of an AE rep at a store, I purchased medium full-toe trees for my 9E Strands. However, they seem to fit very tight with the toe portion of the shoe tree unable to be completely inserted into the shoe. Once in, it is almost impossible to take out. Is this normal? Should I size down to a small?

Answer:
For a men’s shoe size 9E, we suggest a size Medium Full-Toe Cedar Shoe Tree which depending on the size and style will fit most Allen Edmonds shoes. The Shoe trees should have a snug fit, but one should not need to apply to much force or pull when inserting or taking out the shoe trees. However, please keep in mind that the shape of your shoe might require a different size than suggested. For example, a style made on our 65 last, such as the Strand, may require a smaller size or a more flexible shoe tree since this style is best fit for a narrow foot. We suggest trying the Medium Combination Cedar Shoe tree since it offers more flexibility thanks to its adjustable split toe.

In accordance to the size chart -- I purchased Medium full toe shoe trees for my Kiowa 9.5D (a Strand Variant that I picked up at the Destin FL store). They seem excessively tight -- the toe of the tree doesn't seem to go all the way to the end of the shoe's toe box (I estimate about half an inch of space). 3 questions:

1. Is this normal?
2. If no, should I go down a size on the tree?
3. If yes, should I remove the trees every few days to a) prevent "stretching" and b) allow the shoe to "breathe"

However, please keep in mind that the shape or material of your shoe may require a different size than suggested.
