I'm not sure of what to do..maybe take to a cobbler to stretch them out in the width...don't know.
Again, all other pairs of AE are practically perfect..Randolph, etc
I will continue to be a loyal customer and use the recrafting service which has no match in my opinion...but be careful on this particular style and bring back-up shoes for long business trips...etc

I'm a big guy and need a sole to take the pounding so my joints don't have to.
Can anyone tell me if the double oak leather sole will do the job or should I order with Vibram.
Answers
A Vibram Rubber Sole will provide more shock absorption than our Double Oak Leather Sole; however, it will not be as thick as the leather sole. Both options offer ideal support and are very durable. Keep in mind, the amount of wear you will get with either will also vary depending on the frequency and environment in which the shoes are worn.

The Williams is manufactured on our welted 2-Last (2-222) which has an elongated toe with a slightly higher instep. The McGraw is manufactured on our 4-Last (4-234) which has a slightly more squared toe, while the Leeds is manufactured on our 1-Last (1-511) which is more rounded with a fuller fitting toe; both the McGraw and Leeds are similar to our 7-Last which is the best fit for the average foot. By selecting shoes manufactured on the last that most resembles the contours of one’s feet, customers will achieve a superior fit.
Typically the same size can be ordered in all of our shoes. However, each style can fit differently based on individual foot shape. The best way to get a proper fit is to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores. If this is not possible, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoe in returnable condition.

Given the full toe shape of the Leeds shoe, the Allen Edmonds Full-Toe Cedar Shoe Trees are ideal, although the Combination shoe trees also work very well.
