Allen Edmonds Seven takes the art of shoemaking to a whole new level. Handmade in Italy, the collection is defined by unique designs, contemporary styling and Italian artisan craftsmanship. Part of the appeal is how each shoe, handmade, is individualized through a series of processes that ultimately shape and finish the shoes giving it a European distinction.

There are two types of construction methods used in this collection, Bologna and tubular construction.

Bologna construction; is a method of construction whereas the upper is lasted to a bootie, essentially a moccasin made from the lining material, leading to a highly flexible shoe. Additionally, the innersole, located between the bootie and the upper, is combined with performance foam for added comfort.

Tubular construction; is a moccasin construction whereas the upper is made from two pieces of leathers and then hand-sewn together to form a complete upper. Once formed the upper is then hand lasted by pulling the upper over the last.
