Heritage Golf Shoes 5 5 6 6
Great looking shoe. Walked 9 the day after i got them, and have walked 18 twice with them. They look and feel great, not surprised though, been wearing AE shoes for the past 30 years, both on and off the links (still wearing a pair i got back in 1987, they've been resoled 4 times). AG MacDuffer November 20, 2014
Extremely comfortable and continually complimented Prior to buying these, I owned 2 other pairs of AE's. I wear 13B in typical dress shoes, but a 13D is where I ended up with these. I play on an extremely hilly course, and these shoes work great on them. I typically wear Ecco spikeless, and obviously these feel quite a bit different, but I've noticed that my golf swing is benefiting from the extra structure. I've never received more compliments on a pair of shoes in my life. August 28, 2014
Beautiful shoes I would like to thank Sue that works in the Mequon store for fitting me with the right pair of golf shoe's. I hd tried two pair form another sore without musch success she too the time to make it a good buying experience. David from Kenosha August 17, 2014
awesome shoe I bought this shoe 1 week before going to vail Colorado. The course was somewhat wet because it rains often this time of year. This shoe was comfortable and kept my feet dry. I also received many compliments on the quality and style. I recommend buying this golf shoe. Im 55 and will probably never have to buy another pair of golf shoes. Great product and great company. Thank you allen edmonds! July 20, 2014

Comparing the Heritage Golf Shoes with the discontinued Broadstreets, and understanding that the lasts of the two shoes are different, is the interior construction (the inside wall of the shoes, the insoles) any different? To put the question another way, if I put a custom leather sole on these Heritage shoes, will they essentially be Broadstreets on the 65-last? Or are there other aspects of interior construction that differentiate the two shoes?

Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

The Broadstreet is manufactured on the 3-Last (73) which is our widest fitting last, and it is wider across the ball of the foot with more room over the instep. It features a standard single oak leather sole, and our traditional leather and cork foot bed. The Heritage, on the other hand, is manufactured on the 5-Last (65) which is the longest in length of our lasts and the best fit for a long, narrow foot. This golf style is part of our Honors Collection which features our butyl leather golf sole, as well as our foam leather wrapped insole, in addition to the cork foot bed, to provide additional comfort while on the course. Also, while they are both wingtip styles, they have a different vamp pattern; the Broadstreet is designed with a one-piece vamp perfed at the top, whereas the Heritage has a two-piece vamp where the perfing is on the contrasting color. Other than that, the styles are very similar.

The shoe description in the overview says these shoes are made with a 65 last. However, it also says that the last is "specific" to AE golf shoes. Finally, these shoes come up when I search for the 97 last. This is all a little confusing. It would be great for me if they were constructed with the 97 last, but . . .

Please clarify, if possible.

The Heritage golf style features our Butyl leather sole. Butyl is a chemical in which some rubbers are derived from and it is known for its leak-proof qualities. This Butyl soaked sole gives the leather a high resiliency to water. Keep in mind, however that the upper is still made of natural leather and so is not considered to be waterproof.
