Fist inserts, very happy
I had trouble with the Park Avenue because my foot is normal width in the rear, and wide in the front. With a pair of these insoles, enough volume is taken up in a pair of wide shoes that they end up being perfect. The salesman at the AE store explained that the insoles bring the foot into a more ergonomic position, causing your foot to fill the shoe in the manner it was intended. The shoes are a lot more comfortable to wear all day, and more comfortable when walking. Combining the insoles with the shoes, my Park Avenues are the best shoes I've worn.
I recommend these to anyone who is having trouble getting the right fit.

The length of the shoe is good. However the shoe slips on the heel an tends to buldge out under my ankles when flexed.

Answer:Â
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds. No, the Superfeet Orthotic Inserts are not likely to resolve the issue. In fact, it is possible that the addition of the Superfeet insole may increase the slipping in the heel by raising the height of the heel inside of the shoe.

I have a pair of Strand shoes that I enjoy wearing, but because I have a tendency to walk on the outside of my foot, the footbed in the Strand causes some discomfort. Would these fit in the Strand without causing the shoe to become too tight?

Thank you for your interest.Depending on the current fit of your shoes, it is possible that this and other full-length, trim-to-fit orthotic inserts would make your shoes fit too tight. Typically customers who prefer to use orthotic inserts order slightly larger size shoes to accommodate the insert.
For traditional dress shoes like the Strand, we do offer the SuperFeet âEasy Fitâ ¾ length orthotic insert. This item is designed to fit easily into tighter fitting dress shoes. You can find that item at this link:
