Keep in mind, our belts are measured from the inside edge of the buckle to the center hole. Because of this, we recommend selecting a belt one full size larger than your waist size. For example, if the waist size on your slacks or pant size is a 36" we recommend ordering a 38" belt.

Looks and fits great, but wears out quickly The belt looks and fits great and matches my Strand shoes perfectly. However, the quality of the belt is subpar from what I expect in AE. The belt started cracking after fairly minimal use at the point where it was fading, especially near the buckle area. May 13, 2013

Not worth the price I received a brand new walnut colored belt from my local AE store and although the tags were still on it, the leather appeared to be already worn. it had stretch marks similar to those photos others have posted, as if the leather was rolled beyond it's ability to return to its original state. The color is pretty dark and does not really match my walnut shoes, but is close enough to be serviceable. Another point worth noting is the double keeper. I wish this was available in a single keeper, as the second pushes up against some of my pants' belt loops. this keeps the belt buckle off center; a detail not completely trivial when wearing a nice outfit. Best Belt I Have Owned, and a Necessity Mid-priced leather accessories of this quality seem to have vanished from the Earth -- even Brooks Brothers does not reliably carry a decent plain tan dress belt anymore. Belts in this tier are usually either badly finished, studded by ghastly logo bling, festooned with a thought-provoking buckle, or some awful combination thereof. AE has it perfectly right. However, since you can see that the styling is classic, the quality of the craftsmanship is what I'd like to convey. It's hard to describe the feeling of a really well-made belt like this, except that it makes belts you thought were just fine feel like a rope tied around your waist. There are plenty of belts out there that are as good as this, if you know where to look. But now that you're here, you might as well buy this one, as the others are likely to be vastly more expensive, and this is just about as good as it gets. April 30, 2013
