As soon as I put these shoes on I knew they were something special. Made in the USA shoes is truly a shoe that does not compare to any other product made in another country. This is my second pair of AE shoes and will certainly not be my last. Thanks again for a great quality product! The fit and finish are a cut above all others.

I have 5 pair of Allen Edmond shoes of different colors and styles. The Naples is my favorite pair for three reasons. First is overall comfort. Actually all of my shoes are comfortable but the Naples seems to mold to my foot and is just a joy to wear. Secondly is the fit of the shoe. I have a smaller shoe size, 7.5 D, and this shoe fits perfectly. Third is the quality of the overall product. Although causal in design it lacks nothing in quaility. I find myself wearing this shoe with causaul sportswear and jeans but can still get by with them with business causual dress. I highly recommend giving them a try. Fleet R., St. Louis

I have a high instep so most loafers can be a problem to obtain a comfortable fit. These shoes fit like a glove. I am a retail pharmacist and spend 12 hours a day on my feet. I wore these 2 days in a row this week and my feet were comfortable all day long on both days. I received a few compliments on their appearance too. Highly recommend.

No, all of our shoes are manufactured on lasts which have a fixed heel dimension; however, all of our shoes are manufactured on combination lasts. As a result, our heels are narrower than the width dimension by approximately two widths. For example, a 9 D last should have a B width heel. Likewise a B width last should have an AA width heel.

The Naples is a Handsewn style constructed on our 555 last, which has a snug fit, featuring a shorter forepart and round toe with a tighter instep. The Park Avenue is one of our Goodyear welted styles, manufactured on our 5-Last (65) which is the longest in length of our lasts and best fits on a long, narrow foot.

The Naples and Maxfield are both Handsewn styles. Naples is constructed on our 555-Last which is a snug fit, due to a shorter forepart and rounded toe with a tighter instep, while the Maxfield style is constructed on the 114-Last which features a slightly shorter vamp with more rounded toe. The Grayson, meanwhile is one of our Goodyear Welted styles, and is manufactured on our 7-Last (97) which is the best fit for the average foot. By selecting shoes manufactured on the same last that most resembles the contours of one’s feet, customers will achieve a superior fit.

Typically the same size and last can be ordered in all of our shoes. However, each style can fit differently based on individual foot shape. The best way to get a proper fit is to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores. If this is not possible, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoe in returnable condition.

All shoes that are manufactured on the 1 Last are offered in an "AA and AAA" width.

You can find the different shoes by placing your curser on "shoes", then click on "view all". Next you will want to filter by "width". Select the width that you would like a list of shoes on.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

With more and more customers preferring the convenience of online shopping, we've developed easy-to-use tools to help ensure you take accurate measurements and get the proper fit with your shoes. To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
