This was my first purchase from AE. I was fitted at the store and the shoes seem to fit correctly length and width wise.
However, after a few months of use the shoes still rub the top of my feet. Just today, I am having my girlfriend pick me up from work rather than walking home from the metro stop because I cannot take another step in these shoes.
Suffice it to say, I am afraid that what I thought would be a shoe that would last me the rest of my life may be a $300 waste after only 6 months.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The Lasalle were my fourth pair of AE shoes I purchased, and the first I have purchased online. It will also be my last, and potentially the last time I purchase another AE shoe.
Firstly, I always purchase a matching AE belt when I buy a pair of shoes. To my surprise, when my order arrived I noticed the dye colour of the belt was not the same as the shoe. This might not bother most people, but it bothered me, especially because there browns were off.
Secondly, the shoe condition was below par. There were scratch marks on the leather and a dark circular stain on the toe.
I am hard on my feet and AE do last for me, but I am not sure if I would purchase another shoe from AE (at least not online nor over the phone).
I just can't believe AE would not inspect the shoes prior to shipping...
No, I do not recommend this product.

I am 59 years old. These are the best shoes I have ever had, Got them 2 months ago. I will have these the rest of my life....hopefully at least 20 years! Color is chili. Goes with everything. Tired of black and I am seeing tan and or rust colors with black suits as well as navy blue! Five stars! Smell like a brand new expense saddle. Great

I now own 4 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes, with a 5th on the way. These are truly one of the worst pairs of shoes I have ever owned; by any manufacturer. I am a 12B and these are way too wide. The tongue on the right shoe slips into the shoe itself nearly every time I put them on. Finally, there is some defect on the inside of the right shoe that makes it feel as if the is something foreign inside the shoe. At least they look great, but what a waste of my money. I may bite the bullet and try Peal & Co. next, or head back to Aldens. DISAPPOINTMENT!

Just bought a pair of Lasalle's in the chili color, and really love them so far. However, one of the unique points of style for this shoe are the sole edges. How does one properly care for this surface and retain this unique appearance?

Delray and LaSalle are very similar shoes. They share the same last, sole, heel, and construction. The differences come in the subtle styling differences in stitching of the split toe and plug, and the LaSalle’s additional heel stitching and foxing.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
