From the tolling of the bells that open and close a day of trading at the nexus of LaSalle and Jackson Streets, the action on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade never ever stops. Cleverness and great instincts are requirements to be effective in the pit, but success also requires the nimble footwork that only a pair of comfortable shoes like the LaSalle, with their padded, leather wrapped comfort insoles, can provide. Don't worry if you have to go from trading to the office and then to a client dinner at Gibson's Steakhouse in the Gold Coast, because thanks to the traditional Algonquin toe and raised stitching detail in the heel, with this blucher you won't be sacrificing any style for comfort. And that's a promise you can take to the bank.

LaSalle Dress Shoes 4.1 5 56 56
Beautiful and durable This was my first Allen Edmonds shoe. I've had it 5 or 6 years and it still fits and looks as good as it did on Day 1. There was no break-in time or discomfort of any kind. It's as comfortable to me when I'm on pavement as on a carpet. August 31, 2014
Absolutely Love I have 3 pairs of the LaSalle (Black, Chili & the webgem Bourbon) and love them. I have a wide foot and bought the EEE and could not be happier. Ultra comfortable and look elegant. With the cork heel I feel like I am walking on a pillow, hands down the best show I have ever purchased. The only complaint I have is that there are not more colors...come on Allen Edmonds please release more colors of the LaSalle. August 14, 2014
Great shoes I have the chili and wow, what a unique color that pops. Comfortable from jump. Fits like a glove once broken in. I have a long skinny foot and it's perfect. April 12, 2014
worst inspection before sending goods to customer Before the end of 2013 year sale, I grabbed a pair of la sale through direct phone call. I told them my feet is a bit wider than normal people so than I was encouraged to buy size 8E. After a month I have received a pair of beautiful la salle and here is my review: fit was excellent, it felt like a glove and no need for any additional sole and my feet felt just enough room for breath and did not go through any pain. I'm not sure after break-in period if it will become too loose. quality was absolutely terrifying. the front top part had a really bad black mark where it will not come off by cloth which I've tried for at least 30 minute and it was still there. The black mark just ruins the color of the shoe as a whole. The inside: the glue was sticking out towards the tip of the toe inside the shoe. This is terrifying to see given that I have paid full price for an allen edmond which I heard it was famous for quality. I 'm not sure if these kind of glue / black mark is what everyone gets from allen edmond, paying at least $299 or above for a pair of shoe, but I will never ever buy such poor quality controlled shoe at such price February 3, 2014

Yes, the LaSalle and the Clifton are both constructed on the same 108 last, so as a result these two styles will feature a similar fit.

Answer:
The LaSalle style is manufactured on our 8-Last (108) which features an elongated forepart with a tapered and flatter toe. It is similar to the 222 last with a longer, narrower fit and a rounded toe. By selecting shoes manufactured on the same last that most resembles the contours of one’s feet, customers will achieve a superior fit. However, each style can fit differently based on individual foot shape.

The best way to get a proper fit is to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores. If this is not possible, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoe in returnable condition.

I recently bought two pairs of this shoe. One of the pairs creaks very loudly - it seems (I'm not completely sure) that the tongue's friction against the leather it fits under causes the sound. The other pair is fine.

I thought the creaking would go away as the shoes got broken in. After a couple of weeks, however, the shoes are more comfortable, but the creaking is as loud as ever.

I have to consider this problem a defect, especially since my job involves lots of quiet meetings where the mere shifting of my feet in these shoes causes a lot of distraction.

Can the problem be fixed? Can I exchange the defective pair, even though I've worn them quite a bit in the last two or three weeks?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

The “squeaking” noise in a premium leather shoe is normally caused by two types of leather in the shoe’s construction rubbing together. For example, the outer leather on top of the LaSalle’s tongue rubbing against the leather lining on the underside of the shoe’s eyestays. This noise does not indicate a problem with the construction of the shoe; it is natural for two types of leathers which are layered upon one another to make noise. Applying a talcum powder can help to reduce this.

If you are unhappy with your recent purchase, please feel free to contact our customer service center at cacmail@allenedmonds.com or 1-800-235-2348 (Mon-Fri 7:00AM-6PM CST); they can help better identify what issues you are having with this style.

We recommend wearing our Chili Burnished Calf styles like you would normally wear a solid tone brown or tan shoe. It can be paired with a brown suit, light gray, navy, or jeans. What’s great about our Chili Burnished Calf is it can give even the most formal of shoes a more casual look.

Ultimately, what each individual chooses is their own decision; we encourage customers to purchase and wear what they feel most comfortable in.

 on LaSalle Dress Shoes
Hello,

I purchased my first pair of LaSalle size 7.5D. I was very excited to wear my new shoes but after a long day my feet hurt. I feel like the front part of the shoe is narrower and that could be why me feet hurt. I would like to replace these with a new pair but I am afraid I will have the same problem. Does other models such as: Hancock, Clifton, Delray, and 5th Avenue use the same sole (dimension/width) on the front part of the shoe?

Thank you.

Just bought a pair of Lasalle's in the chili color, and really love them so far. However, one of the unique points of style for this shoe are the sole edges. How does one properly care for this surface and retain this unique appearance?

You should get the chili edge dressing and apply it as needed. I don't mind a little of the contrast between the sole dressing and wear points.

Answer:
Good: Neutral shoe polish
Better: Leather conditioner and neutral shoe polish
Best: Occasional leather conditioner and Natural Edge Dressing

If they take a bad scrape, I'd use a little chili or lighter polish to fill in the color then treat with the edge dressing.

Very slight detail differences, namely that the toe is visibly double-stitched on LaSalle, less conspicuous on Delray.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest.

Delray and LaSalle are very similar shoes. They share the same last, sole, heel, and construction. The differences come in the subtle styling differences in stitching of the split toe and plug, and the LaSalle’s additional heel stitching and foxing.

Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
