My father wore nothing but Allen Edmonds and I always wondered why. This is my first pair and I immediately knew why once I opened the box and smelled the freshly polished leather.
They fit great, the loosen up and start to fit right after about a week. They look great with everything, and I will be buying another couple pairs. One to put in the rotation and one to save.

If you are a traveling business person, this shoe is hard to beat. It slips on and off easily while fitting well and providing a professional look. These shoes look good with either a suit or in jeans. They are probably the most versatile pair of shoes I own.
Wearing a size 15, I bought a brown and black pair because I cannot travel with multiple pairs of shoes and this provided me with an easy solution.

There probably aren't many women who buy their husbands shoes but, I did. Many of the shoe makers have used cheaper and cheaper materials over the past several years. I wanted to surprise my husband with a really nice comfortable pair of casual shoes. When they arrived I don't know who was more pleased, me because the shoes actually looked like the picture sample or my husband because they fit beautifully.He now has a really comfortable stylish and high quality pair of casual shoes. The only next question is,who buys the next pair me or him? Thank you for your craftsmanship and uncompromising standards.

The 5-Last (65) is one of our Goodyear Welted styles; it is the longest in length of our lasts and fits best on a long, narrow foot. Meanwhile, the 800 Last is one of our Handsewn styles. This classic Handsewn features a semi-rounded toe and roomier instep and a longer forepart. By selecting shoes manufactured on the same last that most resembles the contours of one’s feet, customers will achieve a superior fit.

Typically the same size and last can be ordered in all of our shoes. However, each style can fit differently based on individual foot shape. The best way to get a proper fit is to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores. If this is not possible, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoe in returnable condition.

For the Preston in Dark Brown Saddle Leather, we recommend using Conditioner Cleaner, Dark Brown Premium Shoe Polish, Neutral Carnauba Wax, and Brown Heel and Sole Edge Dressing; for Black Gentry Leather, use Conditioner Cleaner, Black Premium Shoe Polish, Black Shoe Cream, Black Carnauba Wax, and Black Heel and Sole Edge Dressing.

Allen Edmonds Shoe Polish is best used for regular polishing and achieving a lustrous glow; our Allen Edmonds Shoe Cream, which is used for darker colors like Blacks and Browns rather than Walnuts, is formulated to renew the color of your calfskin shoes; Carnauba Wax is known for imparting a richer glow to fine leathers. The choice between Shoe Cream, Shoe Polish, and Carnauba Wax really comes down to individual preference on how shiny or rich in color you want your Allen Edmonds shoes to be.

I have searched for over 15 yrs. for the above. How close is your

design of toe edge to royal. Is the shoe truely comparable to the

royal. Please advise. Very much interested in buying both colors,

if i can get a short and narrow fit.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

With more and more customers preferring the convenience of online shopping, we've developed easy-to-use tools to help ensure you take accurate measurements and get the proper fit with your shoes. To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
