Duke Brown Football Grain Leather - Slip-on Penny Loafer Men's Casual Shoes by Allen Edmonds
Horween® Leather Company, one of our oldest providers, has been making the "The Duke" football in its Chicago tannery for decades. Using the same leather they use for the classic game ball, we've designed a shoe that captures the true essence of the gridiron. Taking that brown pebble grain leather that is unmistakable to football fans, we created an unlined handsewn penny loafer. Having scored a touchdown or two in our day, we didn't overlook any detail, going so far as to use white thread to stitch the vamp, kicker, and beef roll so as to mirror the laces on a football. We also know that when game day rolls around you want footwear that's as tough as your team. That's why this style, unlike a lot of our loafers, features a Vibram® mini-lug sole that is built to handle a brisk autumn day spent on the sidelines. A first of its kind, the Duke is one shoe you'll never want to kick off.
