15 Double Eagle - Wingtip Lace-up Oxford Men's Golf Shoes by Allen Edmonds Inspired by Gene Sarazen's epic 4-wood "Shot Heard Round the World" at the 1935 Augusta Invitational (soon to be renamed The Masters), the Double Eagle is for the man who wants to make a statement with his game and his footwear. Similar to the footwear of Sarazen's heyday, this balmoral with a perf wingtip and toe design exhibits the timeless class you'd expect from an Allen Edmonds shoe. We have updated the look by adding a comfortable cork footbed and round Spacer Mesh Upper, which allows your foot to breathe in hot weather. Don't worry, if you find yourself in the trap more often than you'd like, the mesh screen is tight enough to keep the sand out of your shoe. And the rubber Tap Waterloc® sole will keep your feet dry for those times when the rough is waterlogged. Strengthened with 11 Champs Stinger standard small thread spikes per shoe and our 360° Goodyear welted sole for the lateral stability required for a performance golf swing, the Double Eagle will give you the support you need to make a little noise of your own on the course. Bought these and wore them for first time. Light, comfortable and look really sharp. Throwing away my other 4 pairs of golf shoes ( all most expensive styles from traditional golf shoe companies) and ordering a second pair of these.

Found you needed to wear them a couple of reounds before they were broke in. They look great and many complements. Just a little heavy for a walker but not enough to rate them negatively. Allen Edmonds needs to come up with a solid white golf shoe.

This shoe is so comfortable and beautiful I find myself finding excuses to get out on the golf course just to wear them. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a great looking, quality shoe that will last longer than your golf clubs.

I have a thin carbon fiber plate that I typically insert under the stock insole of my shoes - that is, I pull out the stock insole, insert the plate and then re-insert the stock insole over the plate - is that possible in these shoes

The store personnel at the store I purchased them said Chili but you describe the color as brown. It probably doesn't matter that much but I would like to preserve as best as possible the color as they arrived.

For the Double Eagle in Brown/Brown Mesh, we suggest also using our Allen Edmonds Aqua-Care Shoe Cream in Brown. Aqua-Care Shoe Cream will help to maintain the water resistant qualities of this style.

Ultimately, with both products the leather may lighten or darken according to wear. If preserving color is an issue, we also offer Allen Edmonds Leather Lotion which is available in a standard neutral color.

The best way to know what size that you will wear in a specific shoe, is by trying the footwear on. All of our shoes are manufactured on different lasts. Depending on the last the shoes are made on, will determine the size that you will take in that particular shoe.

When you receive your shoes, we ask you try them on a carpeted surface. If necessary, we welcome you to return your unworn shoes for an exchange or credit.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

Allen Edmonds creates shoes with the highest standards of craftsmanship and style to give you the best experience possible.

Our commitment to excellence starts with ensuring you have the right shoes for your personal needs and sizing. With more and more customers preferring the convenience of online shopping, we've developed easy-to-use tools to help ensure you take accurate measurements and get the proper fit with your shoes. To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
