Keep in mind, our belts are measured from the inside edge of the buckle to the center hole. Because of this, we recommend selecting a belt one full size larger than your waist size. For example, if the waist size on your slacks or pant size is a 36" we recommend ordering a 38" belt.

Excellent belt - Great service
I wanted a quality, dress belt. When my daughters presented me with an Allen Edmonds gift card for my birthday, I ordered the brown Bombay belt. I had followed Edmonds directions in ordering the belt 2" bigger than pant size. However, since I was also in the process of losing 12 lbs, the belt was too big. I wore the belt once, and then asked Edmonds if I could return it to have it shortened or at least put another hole in the belt. The rep responded by saying that they could not do that, but while they were not in the habit of accepting returned merchandise already worn, they would make an exception for me, accept the original belt back, and send me a new belt in the correct size. I am thrilled with the quality (it looks sharp) as well as the service. Now, I know why I shop at Allen Edmonds.

Great to dress up and goes well with jeans. I get a lot of use out of this belt.

I'm interested in color matching a belt to my walnut Larchmont dress shoes. The Dearborn belt in Walnut is an exact match. In comparing the online picture of the Bombay belt in Walnut to Dearborn in Walnut, the Bombay belt seems darker. Are the two belts identical in color or is the Bombay slightly darker?

Though our Bombay and Dearborn belt styles may not be an exact match for your Larchmont in Walnut Burnished Calf, both styles and stitching patterns will complement each other nicely. We also recommend our Manistee belt in Walnut Calf, which was designed to coordinate with the Larchmontâs perforations.

I'm assuming that AE leather lotion is safe to use on the Bombay, but I would like to know if polish or cream can be safely used as well. Thank you!

Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.We do not recommend using any of our shoe care products and polishes on any of our belt styles for fear of the lotion or polish rubbing off on closely worn clothes. Unfortunately, scuff marks and signs of wear are susceptible to occur over time.
