I enjoyed getting a paid of AE golf shoes for x mas. I first noticed the weight of the shoe. Im sure that is due to the quality . I require a EEE width and these puppies fit perfect. I bought a pair of these shoes in early January. Living in the Dallas, TX area we are able to play golf year-around. I generally play 2-3 times a week and I usually walk this time of year rather than ride in a cart which I will do when the temps go up.
As background, I have always worn a size 11B shoe in any AE style of shoe. I have purchased approximately three dozen AE shoes over the past 20 years. During that time I have never had a shoe that did not fit correctly or did not wear well. I have also recrafted several of my shoes and they always wore well afterward. I only wear AE shoes and my friends know it.
I was very excited to see that AE was now offering golf shoes and jumped at the chance to buy a pair on sale. The 1-up looks great and the craftsmanship looks as good as any other AE shoe. I ordered the shoe (11B) from the Plano store and they quickly arrived at my home.
However, shortly thereafter when I wore them during a round of golf I was only able to make it nine holes before they ripped the skin off the heels of my feet. I have tried wearing them again and so long as I wear band-aids on the heels of my feet they appear to be OK. When I don't wear the band-aids they again rip the skin off my heels.
I really like the look of the shoe and I am sure it will wear well. Also, I was hoping to buy another couple of AE golf shoes because I believe they are the best looking golf shoes and I play so often that I need several pairs. I will continue to see if the 1-Up will wear correctly. However, at this point I am hesitant to buy another pair since I don't know if they just need further breaking in or do the golf shoes run small relative to the other AE shoes. I noticed other reviews stating that they thought they run small.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

With more and more customers preferring the convenience of online shopping, we've developed easy-to-use tools to help ensure you take accurate measurements and get the proper fit with your shoes. To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
