Found out that Allen Edmonds made their golf shoes in the USA, and had to have a pair. Was a little leary of paying this kind of money, but once I did , Ive become addicted to the brand. In two months , have bought six pairs and looking forward to what my next purchase may be. These shoes are great quality, recraftable, and finally my feet do not hurt after a round of golf.

For the sake of comparison, I wear size 11 Saucony and Adidas running shoes and an 11D in the Redan fit just ever so slightly larger. Apples to oranges, YMMV
I'm excited to have a shoe that reminds me of my old Footjoy Classics (the good ones from 25yrs.ago) to head into the upcoming season with.
I chose the White/Chili version, which looks great and the quality is evident throughout. I wear handmade packer boots for work and expect having to break in quality leather shoes so comparing these to the ubiquitous offerings from the major golf shoe brands really wouldn't apply if you are in the market for this type of shoe...

Runs a full size smaller than other Allen-Edmonds I wear. I wear a 12 in others, but had to return for a 13. Would prefer it had a removable insole. Bought these after realizing that FootJoy had moved production of their high end shoes to China. I'm willing to pay a little extra for a shoe that will last and is Made in the USA. Overall, very satisfied! Great looking golf shoe!

Old style shoe that is worth the money

Received the shoes as a gift and the 1st time I wore them I did not care for them. I think this was because I have become so used to the more athletic looking Footjoys and Addidas that have that broken in feel right out of the box. But after a few hours of walking in them they were perfectly broken in and very comfortable..my new favorite shoes.

The Redan, along with the rest of our Honors Collection, features our combination leather/rubber golf sole. While the rubber part of the sole is waterproof, the upper is made of natural leather and so is not waterproof.

Return policy

We don't have a Allen Edmonds retail store in Sarasota Florida so I don't know what size is best for me. If I ordered a size 10.5 length with a 3E width and it doesn't fit, may I return it for either a refund or a different size? I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Richard S

I'm guessing if you have a receipt, you can do almost anything. However, I do know that they told me getting a different size would be no problem as long as the shoes were not worn outside.

The best way to get a proper fit is to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores. If this is not possible, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoe in returnable condition.

How To Measure Your Feet For The Best Fit

Allen Edmonds creates shoes with the highest standards of craftsmanship and style to give you the best experience possible.

Our commitment to excellence starts with ensuring you have the right shoes for your personal needs and sizing. With more and more customers preferring the convenience of online shopping, we've developed easy-to-use tools to help ensure you take accurate measurements and get the proper fit with your shoes. To get a truly professional fitting, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, this Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help ensure your Allen Edmonds shoes are the best possible fit.

Helpful Tools

Tip #1: Measure At A Time That Fits
Feet tend to swell in different circumstances and at different times of the day. We suggest you measure your feet during the midday or late afternoon after you have been on your feet for some time.

Tip #2: Wear Socks When Measuring
Wear the type of socks that you'll likely be wearing with your new shoes, as the thickness of the socks may affect your measurements.

Tip #3: Stand Straight and Balanced
When you do the measuring, be sure both feet are on the ground and you're balanced and straight to get the proper foot placement.

Tip #4: Get Someone To Help You
You need to have a friend help you take the measurements because if you were to try to take your measurements yourself, when bending down to mark your length and width, your sizing would be affected. Make sure your friend takes your measurements looking straight down at the Shoe Fit Guide. Even viewing it at a slight angle may affect the outcome.

Tip #5: Give Yourself A Bit of Room
If your measurement is on a length line, we recommend you go to the next half-size longer in order to give your toes a bit of room.

Tip #6: One Foot Larger Is Common
Almost everyone has one foot larger than the other. The key is to determine your size from the measurement of the larger of your two feet. And obviously, be sure to measure both feet.
