Overview

This clearance belt is a closeout style, and is therefore limited to the sizes that are currently available online.

A National Wild and Scenic River, the Smith flows from the mountains on the Oregon/California border to the rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean. Whether you like to do your adventuring on land or water, this area of the country has a lot of character and that's why we've named our most colorful belt after it. Available in olive and navy, the 40mm Smith is a must-have spring accessory that suits our lively casual models like the Harbour and Neumok to a tee. Constructed of a tough woven cotton and featuring leather trim and friction buckle, the Smith will fit right in with all your warm weather casual clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by I like this belt! At first I wasn't so sure about the belt but made the purchase because of the price. I like the fit and the way the belt buckle works. I would definitely buy another one but the grey color is not in stock. May 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much nicer than the photo... I ordered the Olive Cotton. It's actually more elegant than the web photo looks. Very comfortable, great casual belt. July 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice casual belt I purchased this belt to go with my navy blue Neumoks. Very comfortable, and looks great with jeans. I tried the Cottonwood belt first, but liked this one better. February 20, 2013

Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

The Smith Belt features a friction buckle, sometimes known as an O-ring buckle, which uses friction and tension to keep the belt lodged between the rings.

1. To fasten, start by threading the belt strap through the belt loops on the pants or shorts where the belt is used, similar to any other belt you would wear. Keep in mind, it does not matter which side the rings end up, as the attachment is usable on both sides.
2. Next, thread the open end of the belt strap under both rings, then pull the end up so it is wrapping further around the waist.
3. Follow by pulling the belt strap end back between the top and bottom rings. The bottom ring should move slightly forward of the top ring as the belt material is threaded between them, causing tension, holding the belt firmly between the two rings.

You can tug the belt end to tighten the belt further while still being held between the rings or pry the two rings up and away from the body and push the belt end back through the rings to loosen and unthread the belt.
