Product Care

Allen Edmonds Shoe Care

When caring for your calfskin, use Allen Edmonds Conditioner Cleaner to remove surface residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. To achieve a fine luster, wipe shoes with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Then, apply a coat of Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish with a cloth or horsehair dauber and allow to air dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks and confort When I buy golf shoes l have two things in mind: appearance and confort. These shoes make the grade and more. Every time I wear them people remark that they love my shoes and ask where I got them. I am always proud to say Allen Edmonds. The shoes provide great support for my feet for 18 holes and allow me to play at my best. I purchased my shoes in Arizona last year and fully intend to buy another pair when I go back in February. Needless to say I am very satisfied. October 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful shoes My old leather Golf shoes started to fall apart, so I decided to buy Allen Edmonds Heritage shoes since I really love their dress shoes. I couldn't be happier. They fit great right out of the box. I bought the walnut and bone colors and am very pleased with the appearance. They have a very traditional look which I prefer to the casual tennis shoe look many golf shoes have today. July 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4th pair of Heritage golf shoes!! Great fitting golf shoes that run true to size and are just outstanding golf shoes. I have worn Footjoy Classics for many years and these shoes are as good or better than the Classics. Will definitely purchase additional pairs in the future. June 24, 2015

Allen Edmonds shoes are constructed on a wide variety of lasts (foot molds) and each will feature unique fit characteristics so we can accommodate most foot shapes and sizes. We recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting. By doing so, you will greatly increase the chances of being fit correctly for each last and style.

You can find our stores by visiting the 'Find A Store' link at the top of our website. You can also visit our 'All About Lasts' link at the bottom of our homage to learn more about lasts.

I recently ordered a pair of the Heritage golf shoes and they came with metal spike cleats. I have searched your web site and could not find replacements for these spikes.

I love the shoe, the Heritage Wingtip Balmoral Lace-up Oxford Men's Golf Shoe, that I bought a month ago... but ...the top edges of the shoe beneath the ankle on both sides of the foot cuts awfully. A soft cushion along this perimeter , as many golf shoes have, beneath the ankles and around the heel and beneath the the inside ankle, would ease the pain.....!

By most of the reviews, these seem to run slightly narrow. I usually wear a 9D, should I get these in an E width?

Answer:
Allen Edmonds shoes are constructed on a wide variety of lasts (foot molds) and each will feature unique fit characteristics. It is difficult to recommend a size through this channel and guarantee a proper fit. The Heritage style is made on the 65 Last which is the longest in length of all of our lasts; best for a long, narrow look; and often the best fit for those with high arches. Each last will fit differently based on the contours of your feet.

It is vitally important to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores or retail partners to increase your chances of being fit correctly for each last and style. However, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

Sock thickness can absolutely effect the fit of a shoe. Are golfers that use this shoe generally wearing more of an athletic sock or a dressier sock?

Answer:
In general, golf dress code guidelines require a player to wear socks that complement the clothing, but ultimately that’s up to each customer’s own decision. However, you are correct that sock thickness can absolutely affect the overall fit of the shoes. The Heritage is part of the Honors Golf Collection which is manufactured using the same lasts and similar patterns to our dress shoes. The fit will be consistent with our dress shoes when wearing a thinner dress/dress casual socks, therefore if a thicker athletic sock is preferred, be sure to take it into consideration when buying the proper size shoe.

Answer:
The Heritage is made on the 65 Last, and the Leeds is made on the 511 Last. To find the shoes made on those lasts, click on 'SHOES' on the top left corner of the webpage; then, on the left side click on 'LASTS' in the filtering menu, and check the box for 65 Last or 511 Last respectively.

Alternatively, you can click the following link for the 65 Last shoes: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonlin...

This is the link for the 511 Last styles: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonlin...

The Heritage style is not currently offered in Black and White leather. We recommend checking out the Fort Worth style which is available to order in Black and White.

To see if you can place a special order for the Heritage style, and to find out more about our custom fees, please contact our customer assistance center directly at cacmail@allenedmonds.com or by calling 1-800-235-2348 (Mon-Fri 7:00AM-6PM CST) so they can determine if your specific request can be accomplished based on current availability of shoe materials and components.

Comparing the Heritage Golf Shoes with the discontinued Broadstreets, and understanding that the lasts of the two shoes are different, is the interior construction (the inside wall of the shoes, the insoles) any different? To put the question another way, if I put a custom leather sole on these Heritage shoes, will they essentially be Broadstreets on the 65-last? Or are there other aspects of interior construction that differentiate the two shoes?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

The Broadstreet is manufactured on the 3-Last (73) which is our widest fitting last, and it is wider across the ball of the foot with more room over the instep. It features a standard single oak leather sole, and our traditional leather and cork foot bed. The Heritage, on the other hand, is manufactured on the 5-Last (65) which is the longest in length of our lasts and the best fit for a long, narrow foot. This golf style is part of our Honors Collection which features our butyl leather golf sole, as well as our foam leather wrapped insole, in addition to the cork foot bed, to provide additional comfort while on the course. Also, while they are both wingtip styles, they have a different vamp pattern; the Broadstreet is designed with a one-piece vamp perfed at the top, whereas the Heritage has a two-piece vamp where the perfing is on the contrasting color. Other than that, the styles are very similar.
