Overview

While supplies last. Limited to the sizes and widths that are currently available online.

When you mention the name of these shoes a lot of folks think stereos, but not us. Instead, we think about the Kenwood section of Chicago, home to the Museum of Science and Industry. Every visit to this magnificent building guarantees you'll see something you've never noticed before, which is fitting since every glance at our Kenwoods will lead you to pick up on a different aspect of these uniquely versatile shoes. The first thing that catches your eye will probably be the raised, hand-sewn stitching on the vamp as well as the single oak leather sole, two design aspects that work together to create the sleek toe you expect from a classic American penny loafer. But then your eye will spy the sophisticated beef-roll on the penny saddle and the hand-sewn kicker in the back, both of which have the formality for a pulled-together business casual look. Finally, you'll glance the delicate serrated pinking on the tongue and quarters that lend this footwear just the right hint of soulful charm you'll want for weekend wear. Cultured and adaptable, these shoes are sure to be the apple of your eye.

Product Care

Allen Edmonds Shoe Care

When caring for your calfskin, use Allen Edmonds Leather Lotion to remove surface residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. To achieve a fine luster, wipe shoes with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Then, apply a coat of Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish with a cloth or horsehair dauber and allow to air dry.

Reviews
Kenwood Penny Loafers is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 87.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality Bought this pair of shoes at full price $250.00 based on the experience of a previous purchase that I was very happy with the quality and workmanship. These Kenwood are structure defective. The heel leather spacer expanded out and the upper structure deformed very quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still the Best Bought my first Allen Edmond's in 1984. I still have them and they look great. The quality of this new pair seems to be the same or better than my 30-year old shoes. Have not found another shoe I like better. They are expensive, yet for how well they hold up and last looking good, it is worth the expense......

Does a Allen Edmonds shoes has two size of difference from the other brands?

Dear Sirs, I would like to acquire the KENWOOD PENNY LOAFERS shoes. So I printed your Size Print Guide, and the credit card test square fits, so I'm assuming that everything it's correct. The Size Print Guide give me a 9.5 of length, instead of the 7.5 of my usual footwear, such as of the brand Sebago. Kindly let me know if I'm using the Size Print Guide properly, or if the size 9.5 in comparison with my usual size - 7,5 doesn't make any sense at all. Regards, José Gaspar

Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds. Our shoes are constructed on a variety of lasts, so fit will vary from other manufacturers, but also within our own styles. To get a truly professional fitting, we highly recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds Master Fitter at any one of our retail stores. However, if an Allen Edmonds store is not located near you, the Shoe Fit Guide is designed to help find the best possible fit. It is imperative to follow each step in the guide as instructed, including standing up straight without looking down and having someone take the measurements for you. Bending down to try to take your own measurements to mark your length and width, will affect the sizing outcome. If you've followed each step as instructed and require further assistance, please contact our online customer service team directly at eservice@allenedmonds.com or 1-877-817-7615 (Mon-Fri 7:00AM-8PM CST) and they will be happy to assist you.

The squeak

I really likes these loafers and want to get the tan ones but all reviews talk about the loud squeak. By any chance has AL done anything the eliminate this problem. Also is there a warranty
Asked by: Anonymous
I received a pair under warranty when the first ones squeaked, and I have no doubt they would warranty them again until I got a quiet pair. I just haven't done it yet.

"Gentry" leather vs. "Polished" leather

What is the difference between the "Gentry" leather used for the black and burgundy Kenwoods and the "Polished" leather used for the black and burgundy Waldens?
Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds. Because the Gentry leather and Polished leather are sourced from different tanneries, as a result, the tanning processes are different. The Gentry leather tends to have a bit more depth in color, but other than that these leathers are very similar. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions. Shoe tree

Should I place a shoe tree in my Kenwoods? Not sure if the standard AE cedar shoe tree will maintain the toe and not deform it.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, I always keep AE shoes trees in. Maintains the form and absorbs moisture. Kenwoods are great for sock-less summers.
