And you thought the fall leaves were beautiful

I love the fall - I love the colors, the crispness in the air, the football and the fashion. Even though I enjoy every minute of my summer pastimes, there comes a moment when I look forward to throwing on a sweater, a pair of heavier pants and solid footwear. Thankfully, our design team has given us a lot to look forward to this fall with great styles that will help take the edge off the arrival of cooler weather.

For us at Allen Edmonds every new line we produce tells a story and this year the theme is the combination of color and texture. For fall we have added gorgeous suede to our Acheson, Strand and Leiden styles and we've now created the Neumok 2.0 (pictured above) in seven fantastic colors. We also have selected dress styles in midnight blue leather and a fantastic new grey. Black and brown now have some pretty strong rivals on the office gridiron. Fall also means back to school and in that spirit we have a collection designed for the collegiate scene. Both the Academy and Alumnus will look great with your favorite jeans and khaki pants.

This fall also hails the return of the British invasion with two iconic styles that are back from across the pond but in updated versions that offer a more contemporary look. Slip on a pair of our Chelsea boots and you will be transported to the groovy London scene of the 60s. On the other hand our St. John's double monk strap is a seriously cool shoe.

Again this season we have a beautiful collection of clothing that is chosen to complement our shoe styles and mirror both our quality and our value. My favorites? I would point to our new striking goat suede blazers, our cool quilted versatile vests and the Italian merino wool sweaters. The top of my list, however, I reserve for the new shearling coats that are so amazing that I can't wait for the temperatures to drop more so I can wear mine.

It's harvest time. We have worked hard to make our entire Fall 16 collection worthy of the Allen Edmonds name and we hope you enjoy reaping what we've "sewn".
