Overview

While supplies last. Limited to the sizes and widths that are currently available online.

As popular as it has ever been, we've made the classic New England-style camp moccasin even more desirable by crafting it in earthy colors. Harkening back to its roots, we use Horween's Chromepak leather, an oil infused material that's rugged and durable and gets better with age. This leather not only has great "pull up" to mold to your foot but also gives each color a depth of character unheard of in a casual shoe. Our artisan craftsmanship and attention to detail like the contrast rawhide lacing along the collar and the skin stitching epitomizes genuine handsewn construction. It's only right to make these great time-honored shoes in the time-honored way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed Inner leather sole became unglued after 2 weeks of owning the shoe. This was the replacement pair for a previous purchase of "swims" that I returned once I found out they were not made in America. July 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by American craftmanship Quality product throughout and very comfortable. Will last for many summers!! July 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice summer shoe I have a pair of these in the navy chromepak leather. They look good and fit a bit on the loose side for a slip on. I usually wear slip on shoes a half size down, but have these in the same size I wear for oxfords. The leather feels nice and is very soft after breaking in. I'm noticing some nicks that expose some fuzziness under the surface of the leather. They also leave blue marks on my feet when I go sockless (which is always in these). Minor issues I don't mind dealing with. I have also noticed that the sole seems to be wearing a little thin where my forefoot strikes the ground. I'm not sure whether these will last multiple summers (though I wear them on concrete 2-3 days a week and walk a lot). Overall I like them a lot, but the price seems a bit steep for what you get if you would wear them similarly to how I do. July 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by CADILLACS FOR YOUR FEET I'm so impressed with the quality , style, and workmanship of these camp mocs. I own many pairs of high end boatshoes from a myriad of manufacturers. THESE are as good as they get , and a tremendous value cosidering the quality . Your service reps at the Roosevelt Field Mall location were so great ! In particular I thank John Herzog for his guidance ! Thank you . July 13, 2016

When trying the brown chromepak Northland Camp Moc shoe on, the leather changes color where there is pressure. For example, when wearing the shoe there is a light spot right over my big toe on each shoe. What causes the leather to change like this and will it stop doing so once the shoes are broken in? Thanks

Answer:
We use Horween's Chromepak on this style which is a pull-up leather that is deep-tanned and infused with a heavy blend of oils. Pulling, rubbing or applying pressure on the leather will cause these oils to migrate to the sides prompting that area to become lighter until the pressure is released or the oils are massaged back into the leather. This is an inherent characteristic of Chromepak leather and it will not diminish overtime, in fact, it is designed to behave this way.

As someone with a very narrow foot (A or B width), I have always appreciated AE providing shoes that fit this smaller segment of the market. In fact, it is the primary reason I chose AE.

Lately, I've noticed new styles are not being produced in narrow widths (with the exception of the more formal dress shoes). While I understand there are economics at play, it would be nice if we were at least given the option to order them in narrow widths.

This is a great looking shoe... I hope one day (soon) it will show up in narrow sizes.

Answer:
Whenever u have a shoe or boot that comes in a D...with a narrow foot you should always just go down a size or half size...then the shoe will fit just fine...don't be discouraged by (D)...it just basically means the shoe is Medium-sized...not particularly small or larger...its pretty much true to size based on the overall true fit to your shoe size....

Answer:
Thank you for your feedback. The Northland Camp Moc is constructed on the 555 Handsewn Last which has a shorter forepart and round toe with a tighter instep providing a snug fit. We understand your concern, however based on customer feedback and our own wear trials, we’ve found that the D width on this type of style feels universal for most customers. The last used is snug enough for those with narrow feet, but the soft leather also accommodates customers width wider feet. Many have been able to fit into the D width, regardless of whether they wear a B or a EEE. Of course the fit will be highly dependent on the shape of your feet, but we invite you to try them to see how they fit you. We offer free shipping and we cover the returns on orders shipped within the US so it’s easy to return them if necessary.

Answer:
We do not recommend polish for this style as it would stain the contrast stitching. Instead we suggest using our Leather Lotion or our Premium Leather Conditioner to care for the leather and keep it soft and supple.

Why has new management abandoned it long successful policy of serving the narrow customer particularly on this last. Have always been loyal to AE because they focused on all customers and had business pan unlike the automotive blind volume focused industry.

Isn't it credible assumption that deliberate failing to loyally serve entire market invites similar customer response.

I currently own 25 pair of AE with sole loyalty.

Answer:
Thank you for your loyalty to Allen Edmonds and for your interest in the Northland style. In some cases, new seasonal styles are only offered in the most popular sizes. Every style requires us to have a unique pattern, last, upper, and soles in stock for each specific size and width combination. Limiting the sizes available reduces the effort needed to bring a shoe to the marketplace. As the popularity of the shoe increases, we tend to offer it in additional sizes. With that said, most of the other styles constructed on the 555 Last are available in B widths from sizes 9 through 14. We suggest looking at the Maritime, the Kirkwood, the Bates, and the Bar Harbor styles.

We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for our future product development and offering. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

No, but not needed with these soles. Just a thick layer of leather, very comfortable if you typically wear boat shoes without socks.

Answer:
The Northland Camp Moc is from our Handsewn collection. While this style does not provide the added support of the cork layer bedding that our other welted styles have, the insole of this shoe is constructed with a full foam sock liner to provide additional comfort throughout the entire length of the footbed.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

Allen Edmonds shoes are constructed on a wide variety of lasts (foot molds) and each will feature unique fit characteristics. It is difficult to recommend a size through this channel and guarantee a proper fit because each last will fit differently based on the contours of your feet. You can expect the length of the shoes to decrease by 1/6” when going to a half size smaller. Keep in mind, these boat shoes are designed with a sock liner as they are traditionally worn without socks.

It is vitally important to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores or retail partners to increase your chances of being fit correctly for each last and style. However, products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

I wear 11.5 medium width. With these shoes - and the drivers which I also own - the sides of the shoe at the top bulge out a bit so I don't know whether that is a sign of being too narrow or too wide.

It is extremely difficult to find shoes in narrow widths. Allen Edmonds has been my only source of shoes for over 20 years because you generally have my size (11B) when so many do not. I realize I am a member of a tiny segment of the market. Please know Allen Edmonds' attentiveness to those of us at the far ends of the norm curve is greatly appreciated.
