Overview

Situated on Scotland's rocky east coast and gateway to the Highlands, Dundee's charms are both rustic and urbane - just like this new and improved version of its namesake shoe. Fundamentally it is a boot, which means, with its Double Butyl outsole and Poron insole, it delivers durability and comfort. But more than just utilitarian, it is also cosmopolitan thanks to the newly raised toe that highlights the refined sheen of the premium walnut leather and artisanal layering visible on the natural sidewall. Featuring a split reverse welt that complements the lifted upper, this footwear is great for fall and pairing with everything from dark denim to (Scottish) wool pants.

Product Care

Allen Edmonds Shoe Care

When caring for your calfskin, use Allen Edmonds Leather Lotion to remove surface residue and to keep leather soft and pliable. To achieve a fine luster, wipe shoes with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Then, apply a coat of Allen Edmonds Premium Shoe Polish with a cloth or horsehair dauber and allow to air dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by My Go-To Boot The Dundee was my first AE purchase and now several months into these boots I can say they are simply outstanding and are my staple footwear. The "swoosh" sound when put on and the just right feel of the boots make them comfortable all day and are a true - size shoe. They go well with office attire and jeans and have sturdy but elegant look to them. These are definitely worth the money. Good job, AE. They made me a believer. June 28, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is a Fabulous Traditional Style Shoes. I love to wear on my Dundee 2.0 Boots with Jean, and get a satisfaction each times. June 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot Ordered a pair of the boots from the Galleria store and they were slightly tight. (my fault) Took them back and re-ordered a wider pair. Worked like a charm. The boots were comfortable out of the box and are breaking in nicely. Look great with anything from jeans to dress slacks. Can't say enough about the staff at the store. Jillian and Steve were very helpful. After sizing difficulty with the boots Jillian recommended trying EE and EEE sizes in the Strand shoe to find best fit. Also very happy with those shoes. Rated 5 out of 5 by Versatile business casual boot I bought the Dundee 2.0 in black calf skin around November 2015 and use them as my primary black shoe for work. They were very stiff in the beginning but have broken in beautifully. They are super comfortable, and I wear them 2-3 times a week, all day without any pain or discomfort. They look great whether with suits or business casual slacks/chinos. They have a very classic look so i'm excited about wearing these for years to come without them 'going out of style'. Answer:
The Dundee 2.0 and the Bellevue boots are constructed on the same 511 Last, so the fit will be similar. Keep in mind, however that the Dundee was designed as a dressier boot and features are leather or Dainite rubber sole depending on the style, while the Bellevue is considered a casual boot and it features a comfort Othello rubber sole.

How does the brown grain calf used for the Dundee 2.0 compare to the brown grain calf on the MacNeil 2.0 (item # 1082)?
Specifically please describe the differences, if any, in color shade and the pebbling pattern. Also, does this shoe have a double Dainite sole?
Thank you.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

The MacNeil 2.0 and Dundee 2.0 in Brown Grain Calf are both made of the same leather, there are no difference in leather between these two styles.

Also, The Dundee 2.0 in Brown Grain Calf is constructed with a single Dainite rubber sole.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Allen Edmonds.

Allen Edmonds shoes are constructed on a wide variety of lasts (foot molds) and each will feature unique fit characteristics. It is difficult to recommend a size through this channel and guarantee a proper fit because each last will fit differently based on the contours of your feet. The Strand is constructed on our 65 Last, which is the longest and narrowest last we offer. However, the Dundee 2.0 is constructed on the 511 Last. This last will run shorter and slightly wider than the 65 Last.

It is vitally important to visit a master fitter in one of our retail stores or retail partners to increase your chances of being fit correctly for each last and style. However, keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

Answer:
Yes, while these styles feature different types of leather, they are constructed on the same last, they are both lined, and use the same design pattern, so you can expect a similar fit. The main difference besides the type of leather used is that the Dundee 2.0 features a PORON foam insole in addition to the cork layer footbed for added comfort.

I loved my Malverns... have had 3 pairs of them over the years. My newest pair, a few years old, have a gash in the uppers. I'm looking to add another pair but of course can't get the Malvern anymore. Does the Dundee fit the foot in a similar way? They seem to have a similar appearance. I like the black ones.

Answer:
The Dundee 2.0 is made on the same last as the Malvern so the fit will be similar. The chukka boot pattern used is essentially the same. The Dundee 2.0, however, features a Butyl Leather Sole which is known for it's high resiliency to water. It also has a Poron foam insole on the footbed in addition to the cork layer insole for added comfort. We think the Dundee 2.0 would be a perfect replacement for your Malvern boots.
