Overview

Some of the best of the best get to walk the hallowed halls of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and we've honored this historic academic town by giving one of our choicest models its name. Everything about this shoe is first-class, starting with its shell Cordovan leather exterior. The finest leather available, this material is not only soft and durable, it's certain to only look better with time. Playing off the richness of the leather, the full brogue style on this six-eyelet balmoral, which includes perfing on the wingtip, upper, eyestay and backstay and a classic medallion on the toe, conveys an air of gravitas in even the most stately of situations. Elegantly executed on the 5-Last, this shoe's Reddenbach double oak leather sole and a combination dovetail toplift add the final stunning touches to the Cambridge, an Allen Edmonds shoe for those that have already made it to the top of their class or are pushing to graduate to the next level.

Product Care

Allen Edmonds Shoe Care

Cordovan leather requires different care than calfskin due to its different properties. To remove any natural oils or residue in areas where the shoe flexes, and to maintain the leather's quality, simply brush the leather with a horsehair shine brush or wipe with a cotton flannel polishing cloth. Polish occasionally with Allen Edmonds Cordovan Care Cream to protect the leather and maintain its rich color.

But there is nothing that I have that compares to my 3 pairs of Cambridge's. They are in a class of their own when it comes to comfort and looks. I love the double oaked soles on these, and the fit and finish is fantastic. As the General Manager of a high line car dealership, you have to look your best when meeting clients. With the Cambridge by AE you will never have to worry about the style and class of your shoes. I use to wear nothing but Johnson Murphy shoes, however they fell in quality so badly that a friend recommended Allen Edmonds, and I have never regretted that first purchase, and now I will not wear any other dress shoes. One slightly negative observation: When I opened the box, I thought I was sent the wrong color. The shoes looked black. I realized that they were indeed burgundy only when I examined the tongue of the shoe. With some wear, the burgundy color became more pronounced. I love the shoes. June 9, 2015

Definitely my new favorite pair of AE shoes. I own 7 pairs. Park avenues, MacNeil's also class shoes. But the Cambridge are the class of the class! February 1, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 Excelent shoe. Far exceeded my expectations I was hesitant to put down the money for this shoe but long wanted a pair of cordovan leather dress shoes. Having already owned ca. 10 pairs of AEs, I had a certain expectation level. These shoes, however, blew away my expectations. They are sturdy, yet comfortable; have presence, yet are elegant. Based on the build quality, I already told my wife I would like to be buried in these shoes. If you have the spare cash, you will not be disappointed. January 16, 2015
