Overview

We recommend using full-toe shoe trees after each wearing of your Allen Edmonds to maintain the regular shape of your shoes. Allen Edmonds full toe trees are contoured to complement the lasts that we use in manufacturing our footwear and feature ventilation slots to quickly dissipate moisture. Looking for trees for a non-Allen Edmonds pair of shoes? Our Combination Cedar Shoe Trees are designed to adjust to accommodate the shape of any brand shoe.

We started making cedar products 20 years ago, for the fact that when you make shoes that are timeless classics you should also make the highest quality shoe trees so that customers can protect and preserve their footwear. Sourced from the best cedar trees in Arkansas, our shoe and wardrobe-care products have an attractive red hue because 75% of the wood we use is from the water conducting heartwood of the plant; a key factor in keeping your apparel dry and free of damaging molds. So whether you are looking to safeguard your shoes, clothes, ties or belt, our cedar products (which also naturally repel moths) make sure your Allen Edmonds shoes and other attire endure as long as their style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth having I recently purchased my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes and felt that I needed to take care of them properly. These shoe trees fit the bill (and the shoes) perfectly. They are well worth the investment. September 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Revived Old Shoes Not only do these keep my current A-E purchase in good shape, but they helped return two pair of older shoes to their original shape (25 yr old A-E toe caps and 30+ year old Florsheim Imperials - both excellent shoes). Quality shoes need a quality tree. September 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very aromatic! I have used cedar shoe trees for years and have 6 or 7 pairs. None of them have ever smelled as good or as strong as these. Excellent value as well. September 21, 2016

I put them in my new shoes as soon as I get them. I think that using trees religiously keeps the creasing to a minimum. I have 20 year old shoes whose uppers look practically new.

Answer:
Shoe trees should be used whenever the shoes are not being worn, including after the first wear. Their main purpose is to help the shoes retain their shape and prevent them from curling up due the constant flexing of the leather as you walk. They also help deodorize and absorb excess moisture from inside the shoes.

Answer:
I think a small might work better than a medium. I wear a 10B, and the mediums were too tall to fit in there without stretching the shoe. You may want to either try them in a store if you're near one or order one of each and return the one that doesn't fit, so you can have a better idea for when you buy them in the future.

I have a new pair of your Ascher shoe in size 13 D. The shoe tree that I ordered is size XL. It seems to be a tight fit. It appears that this is the correct size shoe tree for my shoes based on the guidance on your website. Will this shoe tree stretch out my shoes too much? I don't want the shape of the heel to be changed by the shoe tree.

Thank you.

Answer:
That is correct, the shoe tree size chart does recommend a size XL shoe tree for a 13D men's shoe size, however this should be used as a general guideline as the fit will be affected by the shape of the shoe itself; for example, some shoe styles are narrower or tighter fitting that others and you may need to adjust accordingly.

Keep in mind, while shoe trees should fit snuggly inside the shoe, you shouldn't have to use much force to insert or take out the shoe trees. If you feel they are too tight, we recommend exchanging them for a Large. Alternatively, you could also get an XL Combination Shoe Tree since they are a bit narrower than the Full-Toe and more flexible.

Answer:
Depending on the local climate, we suggest letting the shoes rest, away from heat, and without shoe trees to air out any excess moisture, and then inserting the shoes trees before letting them dry completely. A general guideline is to take your shoes off when getting home from work, and then insert the shoe trees before going to bed and keeping them in the shoes until the next time you wear them. Keep in mind, we recommend rotating fine leather shoes and wearing them no more than 2 or 3 times per week.
