STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Walton Dress Shoe is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 178.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I ordered the shoe in coffee. One of the worst quality shoes I've ever seen. The welt AND saddle were not stitched on and as such, were peeling off. Additionally the shoe had scuffs all over it. I would give this zero stars if that were an option. These shoes were NOT AE seconds, and the quality was embarrassingly poor even if it were a pair of AE seconds. Ever since AE was acquired, the quality control has been absolutely terrible. Although the return policy allows to return unworn shoes as many times as desired, a customer should not have to purchase and return the same shoes 5+ times to get a pair without major defects. I've owned many pairs over the years, and I can definitely feel the quality control slipping. If there were other goodyear welted shoes at ~$250 accessible to me, I would never buy a pair of shoes here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable Well made shoe and sharp looking...and comfortable right out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality and Comfort Great fit and quality in this shoe, both of them in fact. Timeless, classic styling make these a staple for dress and casual. I purchased in both colors. Expecting a long relationship with these, as with my other Allen Edmonds shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Fit and Quite Comfortable I own 16 pairs of AE shoes and I find the Walton model to be the best, comfort-wise. These are my 4th pair of Waltons and I believe they are even more comfortable than casual shoes - quite impressive considering these are dress shoes with heavy leather soles.

What other shoes have the same cut as the Walton (the standard is wider w/o having to go to wide)?

I usually opt for wide width but the result is always the same: slippage from the heel. The Walton is perfect in that it has a natural, wide cut across the ball of the feet and I did not have to go for wide width.

Thank you for your interest in our shoes! The Walton is built using the 73 Last. At this time, this is the only style available built on the 73 Last. Known more simply as the "3" last, the 73 last is designed for classic American designs. The 73 last has the fullest fit measurement in the ball of the foot with a tapered toe and more room across the forefoot. We hope this information is helpful in choosing another style that may suit you.

I have the Clark Streets and the Ashtons that both fit great...are these similar in fit?

    Asked by: V
We appreciate your interest in the Walton. Each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet and none of the styles are built on the same last as any of the others, so it’s difficult to recommend a size via email and guarantee a proper fit. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. If possible, we’d love to have you visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or one of our retail partners for a professional fitting. Our associates are trained to help you find the right fit for the various lasts and styles we offer. Also, keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned within 90 days, as long as the item is unworn and accompanied by the packing slip (we advise trying the shoes on a carpeted surface to keep them in returnable condition).

This style seems to have a greater degree of toe spring. Does this feature affect fit at all?
    Asked by: Anonymous
No, if you choose your proper size the fit will be great.

When will you bring Chili color back to Walton?

That was my first pair and the most favorite one. Had 2 pair of Walton Chili and Black and Park Ave. For the last 2 years trying to replace Chili Walton with no luck.
    Asked by: Paul Z
Thanks for your inquiry. There are no immediate plans at this time to reintroduce the Walton in Chili. We recommend taking a look at the Delray style, it's similar and available in Dark Chili. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Which shoe has more toe box room, walton, ashton or delray?

Which shoe has more toe box room? Ashton, walton or delray. Can we put in orthotics into the walton or delray?
    Asked by: Bob
I own the Delray and Walton both in a D width. The Walton definitely has more room in the toe box. It is very comfortable. I do like the Delray but it is tighter in the toe box area. Can't comment on the Ashton or the orthotics questions.

Can the Walton insole be removed to allow for an Orthopaedic insert?

    Asked by: DG450
There is no insole to remove from the Walton. Because I have a serious condition with my feet requiring the use of cushioned insoles, I always look for wide shoes and get the next half size bigger, so I'm able to insert my cushioned insoles. This is the second time I've bought AE and I've not been disappointed. Hope this helps.

I wear an 11E in the Park Avenue...but don't have a wide foot. How does the fit of the Walton compare to the PA? Thank you.

    Asked by: E
I find the Walton to be roomier yet still hug my foot. I wear a 10 1/2 D and for days when I am on my feet at work for prolonged periods of time, I prefer the Walton to my Park Ave's.

Does AE have any plans to offer more colors in the Walton?

AE has recently added new colors for many of its classics shoes, such as the Park Avenue, Leeds, Ashton, and McNeil. Are there any plans to do likewise with the Walton? If not, can additional colors be obtained on a special-order basis?
    Asked by: Anonymous
At this time there are no plans to offer the Walton in different colors other than what it’s currently available online. We recommend checking out the Ashton which is similar in style, and it’s offered in 4 different leathers. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Comparison of 73 vs. 108 last?

I am very comfortable in a la salle (108 last) with a 10.5 D. Do you think that this would translate faithfully to a 10.5 D in a Walton (73 last)?
    Asked by: Phil
As an owner of Walton’s and both Clark Street and Delray my answer is the shoes fit very differently. First, I own all three pairs in the same size. Walton’s I believe are purposely wider at the toe and ball area. Clark Street and Delray are specifically designed on a longer and more streamlined last. Moreover, the leather in Delray is split or skived thinner than Clark Street, but about the same thickness as Walton. Also Clark Street’s fit tighter in the toe and ball area and are slightly uncomfortable where Delray’s fit just fine. Ashton’s feel closer to the feel of Walton’s.
