Cheap buttons ruin nice pants
As others have stated, the buttons are junk; break off easily. I replaced all of these cheap plastic buttons with metal buttons and now love these pants. If A/E had only sprung for some 20 cent metal buttons I think their reputation might have not suffered. It’s always the attention to small details like this that separate true quality purveyors.

This product is of extremely poor craftsmanship
I did not expect such bad quality from an Allen Edmonds product.
Highlights of my experience:
- Button broke off on the first few hours of wear. (Thread was loose and button chipped on a trip to the bathroom)
- I sent an email to customer service and received no answer
- Sewed the button back on, strengthening the thread, but button chipped again (Thread is intact though!)
If I was fat and trying to squeeze into a size too small, I'd have nobody, but myself to blame. But, I even sized up to account for COVID weight. I will stick to strictly footwear from Allen Edmonds going forward.

Garbage - defective
Pair 1 - button broke on 1st try on, backside split on 2nd wearing
Pair 2 - backside split on 1st wearing
Every single item needs to be pulled from stock and retuned to vendor.

Nice look/fit but deal-breaker quality issues
Day one of wear had one button break and fall off. That's right, not the stitching, the actual button cracked and fell off. I looked at the other button and it was also cracked. One button as a defect is acceptable, but two buttons in a single wearing is ridiculous. They also did not wash up particularly well, the rear pocket flaps didn't want to lay flat and acted up. I like most Allen Edmond products, but this was a fail. Please revisit your materials / manufacturer to improve this product. Expected far better for the price.

Is this the same pant that was previously sold as RELAXED FIT? I wonder if the description was modified to SLIM FIT, given they are snug.
This is the slim fit version.
