STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Dalton Wingtip Dress Boots is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 428.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality not as expected at this price point 3rd pair of AE’s. Left shoe is not symmetrical. Both shoes seem to be much more narrow in the toe box then expected and shaping of the sole is clunky and does not have smooth curves. Sides of shoe near the ankle have excess leather creating a baggy look

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Craftsmanship quality is way down. Would I recommend this to a friend... not at the moment. Quality has taken a small plunge, craftsmanship is down a bit. This is not the Allen Edmonds I remember from 10 years ago. I honestly feel that they are more focused on fulfilling demand rather than quality and the crafting process is being rushed. I am completely aware that these are handmade and that small nuances/tiny imperfections will keep them from being a symmetrical pair of shoes, but some of the defects are so noticeable sometimes that they are hard to ignore. If they were to address the issue then yes I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boots are overpriced for the quality I received The stitching on the boots is disappointing for a $450 price tag

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Strange fit, poor quality control, one more try… Wow, AE is really getting beaten up in these reviews. I can kind of see why… This was my first pair of AEs and I was hoping they would work out. I like the look (though I like square toes more… but AE doesn't seem to sell 'em). I was fitted in the Austin store and they told me I was an 8.5D. The left boot I tried on in-store fit well, but the right felt two sizes too small. The bottom of the tongue was also sewn in very low and put a lot of downward pressure on the top of my foot. So, the salesman says I need an 8.5E and orders me a pair, since it wasn't in stock. The 8.5Es arrived in a few days. One boot was OK but, on the other, the black material under the leather edging detail was sticking out from under the leather, so it was like a little wing flapping off the side of the shoe. On the same shoe, the tongue was seriously crooked and bunched up (somewhat painfully) on one side of my leg when tied. There was also a strange bulge above the ankle on both sides of the shoe, when laced, that just did not look attractive. The leather on these looks nice but it's also pretty stiff; I realize it should get softer with wear, but there's not a lot of give here. They're also fit kind of strangely... there is a ton of room around the heel but even with the E's, my pinky toe is crushed against the side of the boot to the point where my foot goes numb after 5-10 minutes. I've ordered 8.5EEEs and will see if they fit any better and, if they arrive without obvious flaws, I'll keep 'em. One other thing—AE's price adjustment policy is not so convenient. Since I bought mine in-store on Black Friday, their phone reps weren't able to adjust the price (which had gone down $89) for their Cyber Monday sale and said I had to call the store, which "may" grant me the adjustment. So, I just returned the 8.5E's and ordered the 8.5EE's at the lower price. I'm waiting on them now. Now, I see these are $100 off at AE.com. Looks like I'll have to call AE again…

How do these boots fit for someone with a high arch on the top of their feet?

    Asked by: Matthew
I think this would work for someone with a high arch. I do not have one and found that it did not fit well for that reason. Too much room in the arch area.

Are the V-Tread Tap Soles built on top of the JOH Rendenbach leather stacked soles?

What is cordovan leather and why is it more expensive?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, Thank you for your inquiry! Cordovan is an equine leather made from the fibrous flat connective tissue beneath the hide on the rump of the horse. This particular leather is expensive because it is hard to come by and make. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

    Matching belt

What color of your "current" cordovan belts matches this boot?
    Asked by: Keenan
Hello, We currently only have two Cordovan belts. The Cordovan Aver belt and the Cordovan tab belt. The Cordovan Ave belt is offered in Oxblood which is closest color that we offer to burgundy. Unfortunately, the Cordovan Tab belt is only offered in black. -AE Consumer Care Dept.

I need a last to accommodate a wide toe box. I have a wide toe/front of foot issue. Does the 511 last do this?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The 511 Last is designed with a rounder, fuller fitting toe. Ultimately, the boots must be tried on to ensure a proper fit. At Allen Edmonds, we believe the right fit is vitally important. We recommend a professional fitting by an Allen Edmonds associate at your nearest retail location or an authorized Allen Edmonds dealer. Find a store near you: https://www.allenedmonds.com/stores

Can these be worn during the winter on snow days or will I slip a lot?

    Asked by: Travis
Probably not. Also, snow/salt will wreck the leather soles.
