Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Wilbert Comfort Shoe is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 567.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST pair of shoes I've ever owned!! I own 6 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. They all fit extremely well but the Wilbert stands out as the very best. Super comfortable even when I was in Rome, walking for miles on those cobblestone streets. The fit is superb. My only wish is that they made the Wilbert in a black as well. David San Gabriel, CA

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Matching Belts? Firstly, I love the shoes, they all look wonderful and the quality is top notch. I have only had them for a few days and I can already tell they will last for years. That being said, my favorite shoes (up to this point) looked similar but were a "4 month pair of shoes" and was just discontinued (so I can't continue to repurchase them anymore); quality is definitely something I look for now . These are my new favorite shoe of all time! Also, shipping is ridiculously fast! Opportunities: Guys, everyone knows that belts are supposed to match the shoes, and shoes are supposed to match the belt. Why not make it easy for us and add a matching belt for each shoe in the "You may also like" section. Or carry matching belts at all. I purchased all 3 colors (and would 100 times over), now I must hunt for the belts to match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Appropriately Named Purchased these for everyday and they have not disappointed. Comfortable, stylish and can be worn with anything short of a suit. Love the rubber soles for both comfort and traction. Wore them on visit to NYC for a 4day wknd and walked everywhere without issue. Got them on sale. Best $150 I have ever spent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Once made in USA but not anymore I did an extensive search about 8 years ago to find dress/casual shoes that were made in the USA but that weren't excessively expensive (<$350). I came across Allen-Edmonds. At the time most of their shoes, including the Wilbert Comfort Shoes, were marketed as "handcrafted in Port Washington, WI of fine imported materials". I purchased a pair of Wilberts and loved them although they required recrafting every 2 years. After 3 recraftings I was told they could not be crafted again. I was offered a new pair of Wilberts at a 20% discount but learned (on my own) that they are now made in the Dominican Republic. This is extremely disappointing to me so I'm now looking for a new pair of USA made shoes. No foreign made Wilberts for me.

How do I know lace length of my shoes ?

I know it goes by # of eyelets, but I want to get replacements (custom Ticked laces) & dont know if 33" laces will work for some of my pairs of AE.
Asked by: TEX4S
The Wilbert style typically includes a pair of 33" laces. If you order laces from our website, you will see length suggestion based on the eyelet number when selecting the laces. If you need to find out the exact length you already have on your shoes to get custom laces, we suggest removing the laces from the shoes and measuring them. If you have other questions feel free to contact us again!

Still made in USA?

I noticed that the website states these are now "imported". Does this mean the Wilbert is not made in the USA anymore?
Asked by: AB
The last two pairs I bought were USA made. This was in October 2019.

Is this the replacement for the AE Ashton?

Asked by: Anonymous
Not really. The Ashton has a removable insole and was on the 678 last, not the 511. The leathers are also quite different between the two styles.
