Leiden Weave Wingtip Blucher is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 139.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Shoe I own I have 40+ Pairs of shoes. This is by far the most comfortable, stylish pair I own . Shoe can be worn as a classy dress shoe as well as a fashionable casual shoe. Works well with khakis, sport coat and dress slacks. Is even versatile enough to be worn with a custom made suit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good, not comfortable I've worn them 3 days/week for about a month. They look great and I get compliments on them. They're still uncomfortable. They also squeak. I ordered the size I'd wear based on a brannock device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One off my favorite shoes. Very true too size. Some Ellen Edmonds shoes you need to downsize 1/2 a size. I own 2 of the Leiden. One with the weave and one without. Allen Edmonds are the best shoes ever made. I tried feragamo shoes. Can’t compare to Allen Edmonds. Did I mention that I have 10 pairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful shoe! This shoe is a real work of art. I bought it at a great price to replace my grandfather’s Tulanes. I’m not disappointed. Good luck finding anything else this nice. You definitely want the chile color.

When will you have this show in a 9/D?

    Asked by: Anonymous

My best is 65Last 9.5C. What is the same foot comfort size in 1943Last?

    Asked by: Gen
I love the 65 last style. When I need an 8 hours dress shoe, I go to my 1943 last shoes. The 1943 last is an exact fit. If your actual shoe size is an 11D, then your 1943 last is an 11D.

I have a woven shoe named Lauderdale. It is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Is the fit going to be similar?

I know the shoe has a number on it that refers to the last it was built on. How do I figure out which number is the last?
    Asked by: Lonnie
The Lauderdale was constructed on the 234 Last and the Leiden on the 1943 last. The 234 last was the first Allen Edmonds last with a non-rounded toe. The 234 last is modeled after the 97 last for the best fit for the average foot, but with a less pronounced point and subtly squared-off toe.The 1943 Last has soft square toe shape paired with a sculpted, longer forepart and higher cone than our traditional Timeless Classic lasts. It is vitally important to visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting to increase your chances of finding a proper fit. If that's not possible, typically we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judge the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes.   Keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip.  Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

How does the Dark chili in this shoe fit as formal/suit wear?

I like the design in Dark Chili but feel it may possibly be too busy or informal to wear with a suit or as formal business wear. Can anyone advise on this? Thank you
    Asked by: greenteapot
I personally wouldn’t wear this shoe for a “formal” business look. Now can you where it with a suit for sure, it would look fine but formal business attire I would go with a park ave, corsico, MacNeil, McAllister,, etc. But again this shoe can be worn with a suit. Just depends on the occasion. I am in the financial services industry and wouldn’t wear these shoes with a suit in a formal presentation. I am much more conservative in those settings and wouldn’t wear crazy colored socks either. Now if I were going to work in the office for the day wearing my suit, which I do everyday, yes I would throw these into the rotation and wear them.....along with some color contrast with the socks. I feel these lend themselves much more to a regular office setting, attending a wedding, special night out on the town. vs true formal business attire. Just my perspective.

Is the weave ornamental, or does it actually allow ventilation/circulation?

    Asked by: Jl76
The weave is genuine but the interior leather lines the inside of the shoe entirely. In that case I don't know how the weave provides ventilation.
