Force 10 Boat Shoe is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Force 10 boating slip-on Allen Edmonds Force 10 is an excellent walking shoe, also providing a good grip on wet surfaces. For a slip-on, I went down a half size to prevent heel sliding. That of course risked the shoe being too small, but the approach worked. An apparent tight spot quickly went away and the shoe conforms perfectly. I cut off the excess leather string ; the shoe fits without any assistance thereof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality These are well-constructed shoes that are in line with the quality level of my prior pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes, which include a pair of Park Avenues purchased in the mid-80s. I think this company offers a good value and great customer service, and I am happy to make it my default shoe brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sizing.... Ordered a 13 B in mid- June (thanks Covid). Arrived yesterday. Too short. Toe box is rather squared off. No opinion on the quality. Appears to be okay. Disappointed as I am a long time, loyal customer with 5 pairs of AE's currently in my closet. Oh well..... Returning for refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These are the worst boat shoes that I have ever owned These are the worst boat shoes that I have ever owned. When you wear them in bare feet (which is how I have always worn my boat shoes) the insoles stick to your feet and come out of the shoe when you take them off. I had previously purchase a pair of the East Port boat shoes a couple years ago, and they were the best boat shoes I ever owned. I wanted to get another pair of the East Ports, but was informed that they were discontinuing that style. In addition to the quality issue, the shoes were shipped to me via a combination of FedEx and USPS, which took almost 3 weeks to arrive. I have other Allen Edmonds shoes that I love. My experience with these shoes is significantly below my expectations and has me questioning whether the quality and service that I have grown accustomed to from Allen Edmonds had deteriorated, or if this an isolated incident.

How do I adjust the lace to tighten this shoe? There is extra lace provided on only 1 side thereby providing no apparent way to tie the shoe.

    Asked by: DeeBee

Go up or down in width?

I normally order a 14E in either a 65 or (rarely) a 201 last. This gives me a good fit with light weight socks, snug but supportive. These shoes jump from D width to EEE, Which width would be better, or is this just not going to be a good fit? I would tend to wear socks. I do not live near a retail outlet ever since you closed the Freeport, Maine shop. Any chance of that coming back?
    Asked by: EDWARD

Can I re-lace these w/ a replacement lace so they can be tied like a regular shoe + not be a slip-on? I need a tighter fit due to a very narrow foot.

    Asked by: DeeBee
The laces on the Force 10 style are functional and can be adjusted. If you prefer a different type of lace, you are welcome to change them. You will need to source your own laces and we recommend that they are at least 45" in length. Keep in mind, it is difficult to replace these laces around the collar without the proper tools. Feel free to reach out to our Recrafting team for assistance and cost information.

Do you have this shoe in a lace-up style?

I cannot determine from your pictures if the leather shoe strings are only for show. I need lace up shoes, not slip-ons.
