STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

    Ask & Answer
Kenwood Penny Loafer is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I’ve worn Allen Edmonds shoes for close to 30 years. The overall quality is nowhere near the same as it used to be.What a shame!! I’ve worn Allen Edmonds shoes for years, but the overall quality of late is just not the same. The finish on the shoes is fake looking. It almost looks like it’s a faux leather. I have the same Kenwood loafers from about 5 years ago and next to each other, they look like two completely different shoes. I hate to say it, but you’re losing me as a customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features, well crafted, and reasonable fair price Satisfied. Good crafted shoes with good quality leather, make, and fairly reasonable price comparing to other shoes in the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shoe runs small, must take one-half size larger. The shoe looks similar to the Florsheim loafer. Must take into account to order shoe a bit longer (10D would be 10.5D). They get more comfortable as you wear them. Great looking shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product not up to past Allen Edmond shoes purchased I have had these shoes for a month and have only had them on for maybe 15 minutes. They are way too tight and stiff to wear without a great deal of discomfort. Not up to Allen Edmunds of the past. I must have purchased 30+pair of shoes from Allen Edmond over the years.

Do you refurbish them for life of shoe? Cost to do so?

    Asked by: E
The Kenwood style is eligible for our Recrafting Services. You can learn more about Recrafting and package prices here: https://www.allenedmonds.com/discover/our-story/recrafting.html Generally, we can Recraft a pair of shoes about 2 or 3 times maximum. However, this highly depends on the level of care and condition of the uppers when you send them to be Recrafted. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

Cleaning and Polishing Question; Conflicting answers have been provided

For the Burgundy, one AE answer says Shoe Cream together with Carnauba Wax... Yet on the brown, which seems to be the same finish, AE recommends Leather Lotion only... I have purchased the cream and wax from you but don't know if this is proper. Which method of maintenance is correct? Thanks
    Asked by: Jon
Any natural polish. I use the AE brand.

Which belt to match the Burgundy?

Can't find a burgundy belt on your site for my new loafers, do you have one that would be close?
    Asked by: Jon
We suggest trying the Midland Ave belt in Oxblood. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Place of Manufacture

The description of the Kenwood says that they are handcrafted in the Dominican Republic. After I purchased a pair I noticed that they are stamped on the insole "handcrafted in USA". So which is it? Not a complaint but just curious.
    Asked by: David
The production of the Kenwood was recently transferred from our Wisconsin factory to our Dominican Republic factory. It's possible you may have received a pair that was made in Wisconsin. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Does this fit similarly to the Grayson?

If I wear a Grayson loafer in 9D, can purchase a Kenwood in the same size? I'm not living in the US, so I'm unable to go to an Allen Edmonds store to get properly fitted.
    Asked by: Mittermeyer
Allen Edmonds shoes are constructed on a wide variety of lasts (foot molds) and each will feature unique fit characteristics. The Grayson uses the 97 last, and the Kenwood the 800 last. It is difficult to recommend a size through this channel and guarantee a proper fit because each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judge the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes.   It is vitally important to visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting to increase your chances of being fit correctly for each last and style. However, keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip.  Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.
