STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic and First Class I have been wearing AE shoes for 35 years. I upgrade my collection every 2 to 3 years and the McGregor did not disappoint, Wear them dressed up or with jeans. Anyway you wear them you will get compliments. Highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from AE sizing is RANDOM! I have worn AE shoes for over 30 years. My size was forever 7.5D, and I have confirmed this on the AE size calculator. Lately the AE sizes have been all over the place. Based on reviews, I bought the McGregor in 7.5D and 7D. The 7.5D was too long by more than an inch. The 7D was so narrow that the collar puckered around my foot. I am fed up with AE. Please let me know when AE gets consistent with sizing again. Incidentally, when that happens AE can expect expanded margins when people stop buying multiple sizes and returning some or all of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wrong color shown on internet These are very good shoes but I was unsatisfied because the I purchased them for the color and when they arrived the color was completely different . Much darker. Highly disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shoes but.... My husband was pleasantly surprised when I got these for him. But as he was examining it further he asked if they have been worn and I thought the same thing. Some parts of the shoes were crushed; maybe due to improper storage. They weren’t bad enough to return and I didn’t feel like waiting. They do look really nice!

What is the difference between the MacNeil 2 and the mcgregor?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The first difference is that the shoes are built on different lasts, so they will fit differently. Generally speaking the Mcgregor will be longer and narrower. The second difference is that the Macneil has a double oak leather sole and a storm welt, whereas the Mcgregor has a single oak leather sole and a standard welt. The Macneil will look "blockier" and that may or may not be your preference for this style of shoe. Third, the Macneil has piping on the edges whereas the Mcgregor does not. I happen to like the piping.

I recently purchased a pair McGregors. I've noticed that they seem to be lighter than my Larchmonts for example. Is there anything different in the

Also, they are still squeaking after several wearings. Is this indicative of anything?
    Asked by: Anonymous
The main difference between the Larchmont and McGregor is the fit of each style since they are constructed on different lasts. The other difference is that the Larchmont features a Poron insole for added cushion. The nature of the handcrafting process, however, results in a unique pair of shoes every time. Squeaking sometimes occurs on new shoes because Allen Edmonds uses authentic leathers such as calf skin. When two pieces of new leather rub against each other, such as the leather lining, upper leather and /or tongue leathers, a slight squeaking may occur. The fix is usually quite simple; general wear will eliminate the noise or you can apply leather lotion as a lubricant. Lotion can be found at, most shoe shine stands or simply visit an Allen Edmonds store and have a store associate apply the lotion for you. Importantly, if you have any further concerns or needs please contact our customer assistance center at 877-817-7615.

Is this wingtip made on your widest last?

I ordered the Jefferson wingtip...a beautiful shoe...but it was not wide enough.
    Asked by: Jud
The McGregor and the Jefferson are both constructed on the 65 Last; as a result, these two styles will feature a similar fit. The 65 last is known as the longest and narrowest of all of our lasts. We suggest checking out the MacNeil wingtip which is constructed on the 97 last and best fit for the average foot.
