STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Fifth Avenue Cap-Toe Oxford with Dainite Rubber Sole is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 309.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe. Bought for my 32 year old son to wear to work with casual clothes. Also goes well with a suit. The dark chili is a beautiful color. Comfortable for all day wear as an engineer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Quality and Construction I have had Allen Edmonds shoes for over 30 years and not a one has failed to live up to the reputation of this company. I have had several reconstructed over the years and have always been happy with the results. Comfort is always there and they keep their shape very well. Glad I found these shoes all those years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I typically like Allen Edmunds shoes - but the 5th Avenue is a very stiff shoe with a hard sole( unlike other rubber soles shoes) I typically like Allen Edmund shoes as they look good, soft leather , flexible soles - but the 5th Avenue is very stiff - the rubber soles are stiff - and not too comfortable for s long day if work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Fifth Avenue is my favorite for a reason To my mind, the Fifth Avenue represents the best blend of comfort, style and versatility, in that they work well either dressed up or down. The Dainite sole is new to me, but I like the idea of being able to minimize some of the wear and tear since I walk to work during a portion of my commute.

Is the perfing on the surface or does it go all the way through, i.e., does it let in water when it rains?

If Dainite soles come standard, can one ask for the red sole at standard price? Thank you.
    Asked by: wing26collar
The perfing is on the surface of the cap toe component and the shoes are lined. Keep in mind however that leather is a naturally porous material and susceptible to water damage if exposed to r rain or snow. We recommend wearing SWIMS overshoes if you expect inclement weather conditions. The Red Dainite Sole is a custom sole option that can be added for an additional custom fee. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
