STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid materials, less than perfect craftsmanship. Quality not as expected for the price. Great customer service though both online and in-store (Los Angeles).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe but quality control issues Overall a beautiful boot. Very comfortable with little break in period. The only issue I had was around quality control. The first pair I ordered had far too many scratches. I get that the leather easily marks up but it literally had a dozen scratches. In addition, the heels were different dimensions- one being a quarter inch longer than the other. And poor stitching was also evident. The second pair was in better condition but still too many flaws. I decided to give them one last try and the third time was a charm. They were in perfect condition. I really like these boots but AE can do a better job with quality control on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very attractive boot I highly recommend this boot. I had hesitated because I did not think it would be quite dressy enough (was also considering Sullivan Street), and I have plenty of work boots. This is a really good looking boot that I am happy to wear with slacks/blazer or jeans. My wife thinks it is very sharp as well. The 1757 last is quite a bit roomier than 511 (Dalton boot/Leeds 2.0) or 943B/1943 (Liverpool), and so if you want to wear a little heavier (than a dressy) sock you can. A little surprise for me was the suede tongue, neither good/bad. The fit is great, and the boot is great. I really like the brown Chromexcel leather and the Dainite sole. Thank you!

    Pre-Creased shoes

Hello, I purchased a pair of Higgins from an in store retailer. The shoes appear to already have creasing in the Vamp area. The toe area does not look as flat and smooth as it does in the picture on your website. There are a bunch of lines and it looks like the branch of a tree. Is this a normal occurrence in this type of leather, and something that happens with usage? I have never purchased AE shoes so I want to be sure they are not defective with loose grain or inferior quality.

Which speed polish color should I buy?

I know the boot description says brown but when I received these they appear to have reddish tint to them. Should I buy "Chili" instead of brown?
    Asked by: astromoose
I wouldn't use shoe polish on chromexcel leather. I would just clean them and use some shoe cream to condition the leather. I use saphir greasy leather cream because that's what I happened to have, but I'm sure Allen Edmonds sells a similar product that is equivalent

What is the recommended sizing compared to sneakers? Are they true to size or should I order 1/2-full size down?

    Asked by: Chris
The boots run true to size, as do the sneakers. Not sure if i will do business with this company anymore, do to a problem with replacing a pair of deffective shoelaces. Too petty for me.
