    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I’m very happy, BUT... I purchased my Oxblood MacNeils at the Father’s Day sale at an amazing price. They were in essence only about $100 more than a “cheap” shoe, so for the price, I have never found another brand that is as comfortable on my EEE width feet. The style, fit, and comfort are amazing. I own 8 other pairs of AEs! BUT, like my McAllisters I purchased in late 2017, there are some fit and finish issues. None bad enough to warrant a return, but they are bad enough that some other shoe aficionados are not impressed. There are things like: mediocre finishing on the edges of the soles (it’s a little rough and not evenly shaped over the heels); the sole to welt stitching gets pretty close to the edge of the welt around the toe; one side of one heel has some wrinkling on the leather; one of the broguing holes, the hole did not punch through the leather & the hole is still filled with leather. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not bad, but just not good enough for me to pay full price for and be satisfied. At 44% off I’m very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shoes.Like Leeds, they work with blazer and flannels, khakis and jeans. When I was in college WTs (wing tips) were the thing to wear. Years later ( I won't say how many) I've gone back to WTs and wonder why I ever abandoned them. Macneils--and Leeds, which I never abandoned--are classic, comfortable and versatile shoes that never go out of style.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor QC Very frustratingly, my MacNeils are crooked. The lacing tabs on one shoe are not only asymmetrically shaped, but they are also misaligned, causing the laces to angle awkwardly. While this problem isn’t uncommon with bluchers, it makes them unwearable. I’m waiting on a satisfactory resolution to this issue. I have many pairs of AE. The MacNeils in question would have the same overall decent build quality and value as most AEs—if only they were better QC’d. (I posted this review at AE’s request.)
