    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value at sale price I have been a 40 year customer and this sale prompted me to add a couple more pairs to my wardrobe. Great shoes and great company

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wasn’t too bad Shoes looked a little narrow in the picture than what I received Overall I would say average

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing purchase! In the late 70's, early 80's I admired a friends shoes. They were the Allen Edmonds Grayson. Immediately I purchased a pair and found them to be the best and most comfortable shoe I had ever worn. Over the years I have purchased from AE stores, department stores and online. Eventually I quit wearing the Grayson and started wearing lace ups. Needing a black wingtip I ordered the Whitney on a clearance sale and the price was very good. Upon receipt of the shoes I opened the box and immediately decided these were not first quality shoes. You could see white in the holes and some seams looked a little off. The price was right so I thought a little polish will cover the white and they will be okay. The fit seemed fine. But, then I noticed a slit like cut in the body of one shoe next to the heel seam. That was totally unacceptable at any price. I am dismayed that AE would even sell this shoe a second. The pair was returned and I have received a full return on my card. I will now be very wary about ordering shoes from you online.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was looking forward to owning my first pair on AE’s. I was very disappointed to find that the shoes were very poor quality fit and finish. The Whitney wingtips that I received were all around bad. The black color was blotchy. The leather was coming unglued at the seams. It looked like someone finished the sides of the leather sole with a dull razor knife, and they didn’t even bother to touch it up with some black color afterwards either.

Does the Whitney Wingtip Dress shoe have a cork layer? There is no info on that in the Details.

    Asked by: Indiana
Thanks for your interest in our shoes. The Whitney Wingtip Dress shoe is built with the 360º Bench Welt construction. This is our original hot cork injected footbed and does have a cork layer.

What is the difference between classic and relaxed fit

    Asked by: Mm
I have several AEs...it's important to know what fit is best or at least what is not best for your foot. AEs have several "Lasts", meaning the shape of the mold of the shoe. The Whitney is based on a Last that is traditional-comfort, with a bit more room. If you have a pair of AEs already and they fit properly look up the Last, then base the new shoe off of that if the Last is different. I have a pair of McClain's, they are not the same Last of my Strands I have,,,it is narrower, so it took a while for me to break them in and not feel tight but I still have to put some effort to get them on. Once on they are great. So, find a Last they fits you and them base other lasts on that, you may be good in several but there will be ones that don't match too. CJ

Coming from a size 9 3E in a McAllister, what would be a comparable size in the Whitney Wingtip?

    Asked by: Anonymous
It is vitally important to visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting to increase your chances of finding a proper fit. If that's not possible, typically we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judge the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes.   Keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip.  Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

I prefer the thicker leather sole, does this shoe have that? What other shoe would you compare the thickness to?

    Asked by: Anonymous
This style has a standard leather sole. We suggest taking a look at the Macneil, Leeds, or Walton as their soles are essentially double the thickness than our typical dress soles. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

What's the difference between the Whitney wingtip and the McAllister wingtip?

    Asked by: Ben
The Whitney wingtip is made on the 42 last, it has 5 eyelet rows, enlarged brogueing, pinking at the top of tongue, and it features our new rebounding cork infused foam footbed. The McAllister is made on the 65 last, has 6 eyelet rows, and features out traditional cork layer footbed. The sole options for each are also different. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
