STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Whitney Wingtip Dress shoe is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended I read the bad reviews, but took the chance anyway. I ordered two pair and both were not up to usual AE standards, but one was particularly bad. The black pair had white residue all over them, almost like candle wax. They also had a spot on the side of the right shoe where it was evident they damaged the leather and tried to repair it. This pair shouldn't have even qualified as a factory second.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent fit for "problem" feet I need a shoe with a narrow heel yet plenty of room in the toe box for widely spaced toes. The last used to produce the Whitney model is perfect. I purchased these in a narrow width and they keep my feet secure for stable walking while giving my toes plenty of room for a comfortable fit. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected This was my first AE purchase, and my first time investing in a decent pair of brogued shoes. Upon arrival, it was pretty clear that the pair I received may not be new at all. There are obvious signs of lax quality control on this one. Since I purchased it from the clearance tab, I was a bit more forgiving. I wouldn't say I am 100% dissatisfied, but I definitely wasn't thrilled when I did the thorough once-over on the shoes. One pair is decent, the other has a bit more character. Haven't had a chance to take them on a proper tour of the city, but I hope they hold up for the long run. I did purchase two more pairs within the week after this arrived, and the quality control issues that I read in other reviews are true, but for me, it isn't detrimental. I don't know what AE quality was before, but I can tell that for what the reputation is supposed to be, there may have been at least a slight decline.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality I bought 3 pairs initially. After wearing one of the pairs the rubber heel became unglued and fell apart in 6 months after wearing the shoe occasionally. Allen Edmonds was helpful in arranging the return of the other 2 pairs and giving me store credit. Good service.

What is the difference between classic and relaxed fit

    Asked by: Mm
Classic: Most people would consider the classic fit a standard fit. This more closely matches the shape of your feet than the relaxed fit. Relaxed: Unlike the classic fit, the relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and for foot expansion that typically occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight. https://www.allenedmonds.com/fit-page.html Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

Coming from a size 9 3E in a McAllister, what would be a comparable size in the Whitney Wingtip?

    Asked by: Anonymous
It is vitally important to visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting to increase your chances of finding a proper fit. If that's not possible, typically we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judge the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes.   Keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip.  Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.

I prefer the thicker leather sole, does this shoe have that? What other shoe would you compare the thickness to?

    Asked by: Anonymous
This style has a standard leather sole. We suggest taking a look at the Macneil, Leeds, or Walton as their soles are essentially double the thickness than our typical dress soles. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

What's the difference between the Whitney wingtip and the McAllister wingtip?

    Thanks!
    Asked by: Ben
The Whitney wingtip is made on the 42 last, it has 5 eyelet rows, enlarged brogueing, pinking at the top of tongue, and it features our new rebounding cork infused foam footbed. The McAllister is made on the 65 last, has 6 eyelet rows, and features out traditional cork layer footbed. The sole options for each are also different. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
