    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Factory 2nd - Park Avenue Cap-Toe Oxfords is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible, didn't match at all the colors were completely different, one was dark brown and the other was more burgundy. looked like two different shoes

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I couldn’t bolieve what they sent me,... First I have to say I am use to buy second factory shoes and I can live with some defects, that’s the reason why I pay less money for the shoes. Now, but they sent me a pair of shoes that the front of the shoes (both shoes) you couldn’t see the stitchin at all, it looked like they apply some bondo to fix the damage that was done when the shoes were made. The looked so ugly that I couldn’t believe the spect me to keep such a pair of shoes. Every day quality control is worse and worse. I have 5 pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, so I know what I am talking about. I think I am done buying Allen Edmonds shoes. I know not second factory shoes may don’t have this issues, but they so expensive for my budget. I can buy Beckett Simonon for 160.00 dollars new, beautiful and with out any defects and many other shoes less expensive that are real good leather shoes. You could buy what you want, but I loose hope to get good quality shoes from Allen Edmonds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They don't make em like they used to. Shoes are nice, but the little things prove that it isn't a privately owned company any more. The box is made with cheap cardboard and glue that can barely keep it together. No longer do the shoes come in a cotton bag, could be because they were seconds but the price was still pretty high considering. Glad they're still American made but they seem more mass produced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding There is a reason the PA is considered to be a timeless classic. In black, this shoe can pull double during both business (read: daytime) and social (read: nighttime) formal functions. The 65 remains my favorite last, and the PA my favorite show built on it. Fit is true to size. PRO TIP: A word to the wise: whatever defects or imperfections may have relegated a shoe to becoming a Factory 2nd, the odds are those imperfections will be less visible in black, at least as per my experience.

To what extent are the shoes considered a defect?

I am interested in purchasing a factory second shoe so long as the defect doesn't make my feet to be the center of attention. I was wondering what types of damages/defects a factory second typically has? Is it usually the type of defect/damage not noticeable unless pointed out, like a scuff on the inside of the show or a slight difference of color on each of the pair? Also, is the quality and construction the same as a normal Allen Edmond's shoe? Thank you
    Asked by: egami
Hello. I bought three pairs of Factory Seconds recently. One of my Dalton boots had a misaligned welt stitching and that was it for that pair. My Leeds black cordovan shoes arrived again with a misaligned welt stitching and a dent/nick on the tip of one of the shoes. As I wear my shoes I will eventually have their soles replaced and the stitching defect will be gone. As to the dent/nick this will persist but a good mirror shine should make this unnoticeable. The last pair had no structural issues and probably the color (burgundy) was a little bit off. Hope this helps. Regards

What color suit/slacks do you wear with Walnut?

I've worn Allen Edmonds for 30 years but usually wear very traditional colors like black and burgundy/oxblood/merlot. I love the look of Walnut but am unsure what color slacks to wear them with. What are your recommendations?
    Asked by: Woody
Thank you for your question! Walnut is a very versatile color. It goes with most colors from black and brown or khakis, to blues and charcoals. It goes particularly well with Navy or Light Grays. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

Does this shoe have good arch support?

Hi I have weak arches as a result of planters fasciitis. Will this shoe give me good arch support. If not please recommend another shoe. Do not refer me to a store, because where I live there isn't one near buy. Kindly provide me with some useful help.
    Asked by: MOHAMMED
This style features standard arch support with our traditional leather foot bed, where we apply a layer of shock-absorbent cork between the insole and the outsole of our shoes that allows the sole to form an imprint in the cork over time. The resulting imprint acts as a comfortable cradle for your whole foot and is totally unique to your foot shape. It is part of the reason our shoes are so comfortable. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
