Mercer Street Suede Penny Loafer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turned out the show was too narrow. The ordered item was too narrow will always need wide for my feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I picked a pair up during the most recent sale. For $120 they are a deal. I had to size down 1/2 size from my size in 65 last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic look in an interesting finish Ok look, is a suede penny loafer getting tons of mileage with city-wide lockdowns and no end of Working from Home on the horizon? Probably not, but what else am I going to wear during my Zoom meetings... Kidding aside, these loafers in the dark brown suede color dropped to about $90 during a holiday sale, so let’s call them an impulse buy. The fit is true to size for me, maybe a little bit long. Might have some heel slippage if worn without socks. The shape is interesting, not as sleek and low profile as other penny loafers. Which is ideal for me, I think some loafers can be TOO sleek and look oddly small when worn. The raised seam that runs along the toe is pretty pronounced, so it’s very visible when wearing the shoes. I kinda like that, gives the shoe some more detail, makes them more unique. The dark brown suede color is great too, but darker than expected. While worn in any lower- lit space, they’ll look black. Def not as bright brown as pictured. I also really like the color-matched stitching up top, too often loafers use contrast stitching which kinda looks not as neat. I also like that the sole has some extra rubber at the forefoot, get a little extra grip and imagine it slows down wear a little. Tried these on with some black, tapered jeans (so socks) and also some business casual tapered chinos (with socks), and they looked right at home with both. So I scored a versatile, unique suede loafer for under a hundred bones. I’m happy :)

Proper Shoe sizing through True Fit

True Fit is saying an 11D will fit me but all the reviews are saying this shoe runs small & narrow. Which do I follow? I typically wear an 11 E from AE.
    Asked by: Mike17
I sized up half a size. It is tight fitting for sure.

looking for a description of the 78 last. it is not listed.

    Asked by: jbu
The 78 last is similar to the 79 last. It has a tapered back portion which allows for lower, shorter vamp designs creating a low fit across the top of the foot. The difference is that it is slightly wider.

What belt would you recommend for the green suede version?

I don't see a green suede belt on the website?
    Asked by: Kale
The green suede shoe carries tones of dark brown on the sole.I'm going to try to get a away with a dark brown for dressing it up and a woven fabric/leather belt in lighter olive and brown that I found online for more casual.

I’d like to hear how durable these are in rain and snow. Suede has had a poor reputation over the years in inclement weather.

    Asked by: Suede
We do not recommend wearing suede, or any fine leather shoes that are not specifically designed to be weather proof, if you expect inclement weather conditions as water damage and salt stains are permanent damage. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!
