  • Care

We believe a great pair of shoes or boots is always a solid long-term investment. To keep your favorite footwear in top form for years or even decades to comes, use our 4 Step Shoe Care Process and these essential products.

    1. Clean

Start by applying Saddle Soap with a Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth to remove stains and dirt from the uppers and bring up the leather's natural oils.

    2. Polish

Next, use a Horsehair Dauber to treat your footwear with Cream Polish which renews the color and luster of leather. Any time you want to achieve a truly glossy, high shine, you should instead apply Carnauba Wax Polish.

    3. Dress

Restore the color and surface of the leather on the heels and soles using Heel Dressing.

    4. Protect

Leather Lotion keeps uppers soft, supple and hydrated while a Horsehair Shine Brush is perfect for buffing your shoes to the desired shine. As a last step, spray on Water Protector to guard against harmful moisture and spills and use a Leather Dopp Kit to keep all your care products organized.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fitting shoe Love these shoes. I ordered them for a day long wedding shoot up in Glacier national park during which we made many stops all throughout the park and made our way through multiple little trails to get the best shots for my bride and myself. I thought for sure I would be left with blisters after wearing an unbroken-in, stiff dress shoe which I’d not worn prior to the shoot. But, to my surprise, I had not a single blister or sore spot on my feet. They were extremely comfortable out of the box and are a very handsome shoe. Got many compliments. Would definitely buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely elegant in it's own right, should turn the diarchy of black and brown into a true Triumvirate of men's shoe colors This is my second pair of Allen Edmonds, my first pair was a park avenue 2nd in Bourbon (Coffee with black sole). Let me start by saying the Park Avenue is great, regardless of color, this review is mainly touching on the oxblood. The PA is a classic cap-toe with an elegant rounded last and high quality, also it is made in Wisconsin, where I live, so I love supporting my fellow Wisconsinites and American craftsmen. During this summer sale, I got the Hopkinson in black, which is a step-up from the park avenue. When I received them, I loved every bit of the shoe, except that the to cap had strange length-wise creases that would have affected a mirror-shine, which I wanted to do for a very conservative black shoe. Dejected, I returned the shoe, knowing that I would be unlikely to find a factory first AE cap-toe oxford in black for $200 in the near future, as I wanted to have multiple shoes to allow my other shoes a rest. I looked into oxblood and found it much better matched all my wardrobe. It is a much more youthful color and really adds personality to an otherwise, forgive this statement, well crafted, elegant, but ultimately boring shoe. The AE park avenue is undoubtedly excellent as a base of any well-dressed man's outfits, but it is also very conservative, as it should be for a business/formal shoe. Oxblood simply allows you to stand-out. By no means is this color a replacement for a black shoe, but it is elegant in it's own right, certainly for the high school I go to! Mine did arrive with minor scrapes, but it is to be expected for a closeout and major sale, nothing that can't be corrected with shoe polish and elbow grease though!
