Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Why is the can hard to open? It would be great if people wouldn’t make easy things hard. Why is the can devilishly hard to open. Seriosuly, leave the basic things alone and worry about the quality of the product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Allen Edmonds Saddle Soap The current product is 1.5 oz vs 3 oz the size of previous Allen Edmonds Saddle Soap. The 1.5 oz is the same price as previous 3 oz. As a price/value proposition it is a ripoff. If i had realized the size change, I would not have bought. Boo on me. Moe

Rated 2 out of 5 by GW from Disappointed Thought the price was high when I bought, but wanted Allen Edmonds for my Allen Edmunds. When that tiny tin, half the size of any tin of saddle soap I have ever seen, arrived,I was shocked and felt, let’s say, under appreciated. This is the first time I have been dissatisfied since I started buying AE shoes in the old bank building in Belgium, Wisconsin. Ounce for ounce, I think I could send this back and receive a pair of horween cordovan tassel loafers in an even trade....

If use it on your suede leather, will AE Saddle Soap change the color or texture?
I have an older pair of two tone suede saddles with a discolored toe box due to water exposure Would cleaning with your saddle soap restore a consistent color or is the discoloration permanent? Thanks,
This product is not safe for use on Suede or Nubuck. You should only use the Suede Cleaning System.

Would the saddle soap take away shoe color?
Thank you for being an Allen Edmonds customer. Saddle soap is simply a topical cleaning agent and does not remove the finish or dye from the leather. We hope this information is helpful

I have a pair of your Eastport Boat Shoes in Navy Color:
Steps 2 & 3 of your 5-step shoe care process indicate the need to use a "cream polish" to be followed by a "speed polish", however, I see that you do not offer a cream polish nor the speed polish in a navy color. What do you suggest I use for steps 2 & 3 since you do not offer a navy color for these 2 steps of shoe care?
We recommend Neutral Cream Polish and Neutral Speed Polish for the Navy styles. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

I have a pair of Navy Oak Street shoes. What kind and color shoe polish do you recommend?
Chromexcel leather is known to be self-polishing due to the high content of oils infused in the hide. The appearance of most scuffs can be minimized by rubbing the leather with your fingers. Simply brushing with a horsehair brush or using a soft cloth will warm up the oils and dyes and redistribute them throughout those areas. Shoe polish is not recommended as it will not be effective on this type of leather. If you wish, you may use Leather Lotion. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!
