Full-Toe Cedar Shoe Trees is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 629.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the shoe trees I used to buy from Allen Edmonds I have bought cedar shoe trees from Allen Edmonds for a long time. They were well made and did an excellent job maintaining the shape of my shoes. In some cases they managed to slightly expand the width of the shoes. This most recent order however will be my last. They are shapeless - which means there is virtually no recognizable difference between the right & left shoe tree. In addition, the quality of the spring mechanism is not even close to what I used to buy. The current spring feels flimsy and is comparatively difficult to compress which makes inserting them into the shoes more difficult than with the shoe trees I used to buy (and still use). In short, I'd be surprised if they last a year. What a shame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, but check quality Ordered two more pair (have four pair already) . These were the first I ordered from the website. Both pairs arrived quickly, but both pair were split and had sharp shards from the split area that would have damaged my shoes without fixing them. Sending them back and waiting for new ones would have taken weeks because of where I am located. So I trimmed them with a knife and sanded smooth the split areas. They function ok. Have since ordered two more pair, but from another American company. I hope those are better.

    Size for 11.5 E

Fit guide recommends XL but salesperson gave me L? Do I need to exchange? Also the box has a lot of grease like spots the salesperson said was sap from the cedar. Is this normal?
    Asked by: Travis
The Fit Guide is a general guideline and we do typically suggest an XL for a size 11.5E shoe. Some styles may require a different size depending on the shape of the shoe. We suggest trying what was recommended and if they do not fit, feel free to return it. It is normal to see the spots you describe, it happens in some cases due to the nature of the wood. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!
