Rated 2 out of 5 by KrimsonTide1911 from Disappointing Experience Price is what you pay; value is what you get. For the money, there's simply nothing remarkable about these galoshes. And the sizes are off, which I learned the hard way after ordering an XL the first go 'round ... which absolutely should have fit. They didn't so I returned them. It's been A MONTH and I have yet to receive a refund from Allen Edmonds. I would sooner spend ~$15 for a pair of rubbers from Men's Warehouse. I cannot recommend these at any price point.

Does anyone know if the XXL run large enough to cover a size 14? The guide says to 13.5 but I’d like to know if there’s a chance they’d fit before I buy them. Thanks, John
Hi John! Thank you for being an Allen Edmonds customer! Each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet, so it’s difficult to recommend a size via email and guarantee a proper fit. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear and judging the fit based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. If possible, we’d love to have you visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or one of our retail partners for a professional fitting. Our associates are trained to help you find the right fit for the various lasts and styles we offer.

What's the best size for a Park Avenue 8.5D? Would that size also be good for a Leeds 8.5D?
SWIMS recommends a size Large for a 8.5 mens shoe size. We suggest trying that size for both styles and referencing the size chart for specific measurement information. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Why don't these come in bigger sizes?
I love my Allen and Edmond Shoes! I wear them to church pretty much every Sunday, except when it snows. Why can't I wear them when it snows? Very good question. Since I wear a size 15 shoe, hardly anyone makes overshoes in my size. Allen and Edmonds, I love your shoes, your customer service and company is top notch, but there's one thing I am disappointed in and that is I cannot protect my favorite shoes I've ever owned. I ask whoever the powers may be, please, please make overshoes in my size.
Thank you for your inquiry. Allen Edmonds does not make these overshoes. This product is made by the Norwegian company SWIMS and so we are limited to the sizes they make. Please know we appreciate your feedback. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Why don't these cover the laces? It seems as though my shoes will still get wet when it's raining.
Swims overshoes are designed with a sleek look and they are a great way to help protect your investments from rain or snow. We have had no reports of poor performance for these overshoes under these conditions, however if the water is deep or if the rain is heavy it is possible that water will inevitably come in contact with this area. With that said, we recommend exercising good judgment if you decide to wear them during inclement weather, most importantly avoiding submerging the shoes in large puddles of water. However, if you are concerned about the exposed leather, Swims also offers the Mobster boot which will cover the entire shoe which we also offer on our website. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

A 9.5 shoe is right on cusp of a large and x-large. Which is best fit, a large or x-large? Thank you.
I'd go with the XL. I did.

What size Swims should I get for my size 10 fifth avenues?
I've read some people say that XL was too big for them with an XL. I am on the edge between L and XL according to the sizing guide.
We publish the sizing chart that Swims provides for us which have general suggestions. Depending on the shoe shape, size and width, some customers may need to go up or down in the overshoe sizing. The shoe size 10 is the shortest size for which the XL is recommended for, so it's possible that a size Large may fit this particular style better. The overshoe should be snug, but not excessively tight. Keep in mind that products purchased on allenedmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. We ask that you remove any debris off the bottom of your shoes, and try the overshoes on a carpeted surface to help keep them in returnable condition.
