Cream Polish is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality polish that is a good color match. There are other high quality polishes on the market but I like buying directly from Allen Edmonds in order to get a good color match.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very small amount of polish Will maybe get 5 polishes out of this? Also, why not offer the tube like other polishe colors? I am feeling ripped off

Discuss the difference between cream polish and premium polish

Can you details the differences in the two soft polishes you offer? In what situations would you choose one over the other and why.
    Asked by: JimDandy
Cream Polish has a high dye content and its main purpose is to restore color and moisture the leather. Premium Polish (or Speed Polish), is a combination of cream polish and carnauba wax and it's used to restore both color and shine. This product does not have as much dye as Cream Polish. Walnut color does not match

Hi. Per your answer and recommendation to my question last week, I bought the Walnut cream polish for my liverpool Walnut boots. I loved the light Walnut color of my boots but this cream polish completely darkened it. It's not at all what should have been used. My beautiful light Walnut shoes now just look plain brown. How do I restore my boots back to their original color? I'm extremely disappointed in this cream polish and I suggest you caution everyone that it'll change the color of their shoes.
    Asked by: Nikhil
We're sorry to learn about your dissatisfaction with the Walnut color. If you did not like the results, we suggest using Saddle Soap to remove the product. If you prefer to keep the original tone of the leather without adding color, you can follow with Neutral Cream Polish. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

What Color for Walnut? - I found 2 answers

I've just bought the Liverpools in Walnut. What color cream and wax color polish should I use? You've given two different answers in previous posts. In your "Cream Polish" Q&A section you recommend using Neutrals for Walnut. In the "Carnauba" Q&A section, you recommend using Walnut 1014997. Which color works best?
    Asked by: Miko
We're sorry for the confusion. We recommend Walnut for the Walnut styles. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

How to take care of shoes

Hello, I am not sure if this question belongs here. I am a novice when it comes to leather shoes, having purchased most of my shoes that wasn't close to Allen Edmond's quality from department stores. I have recently purchased The Surrey Cap Toe Boots in brown (7485) and The Boulevard shoes in brown (3676). I was wondering if you recommend using any products that I can purchase from your website before I begin wearing it, to keep around in times when it starts snowing or raining and just overall to maintain. Thank you
    Asked by: egami
Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. We will be happy to provide more information regarding the care of your Allen Edmonds shoes. The process consists of the following four steps for your Boulevards: STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather saddle soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils. STEP 2: Next condition the shoes with speed polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow. STEP 3: Take the heel dressing applicator and press against the edge of the heels and soles. STEP 4: Apply leather lotion as needed for added protection and polish between cleanings.. For your Surrey Cap Toes, we would recommend the following process: STEP 1: Thoroughly remove stains using the Suede and Nubuck Cleaning System, following the instructions on the box. STEP 2: Once the material has dried, spray waterproofer over the surface of the shoes. Apply regularly between cleanings. We hope this is helpful! If you have any further questions, please call us at 1-877-817-7615.

What is the difference between this, the speed polish, and the premium shoe polish?

Do you only need this or do you need one of the other two for protection? Could you only use one of these products?
    Asked by: David
The Cream Polish is a pigmented lotion that moisturizes the leather and restores color (with the exception of the Neutral cream polish). The Speed Polish and the Premium Shoe Polish are essentially the same product. The Speed Polish simply has been updated with our new branding/logo. These polishes are combination of Cream Polish and Carnauba Wax, basically two-steps in one. You may use each of these products on their own. Typically however, if you use Cream Polish, we suggest following with Carnauba Wax to add shine. Feel free to contact us again if you have other questions!

What is the “four step process” you reference for cleaning shoes?

this new “four step” process is referenced repeatedly, but it is never defined. there are at least three products that purport to be used for step 2 and two that lay claim step 4. this is unclear.
    Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your inquiry! The steps designated are guidelines you can reference when caring for your shoes. It is not necessary to use all products at once as each product should be used depending your desired results. For example, the first step is to clean the shoes. If you wish to restore color and add shine, the second step would be to use Speed Polish. If the shoes do not need color, but only shine, then the Carnauba Wax Polish would be the second step. If you want to add Water Protection, that would be the last (fourth) step. Ultimately, how each person cares for their shoes depends on their own personal preference. As you care for them regularly overtime, you will develop your own routine. If you have further questions or needs, feel free to contact us again!
