Heel and Sole Edge Dressing is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to Find A neutral or clear sole dressing is hard to find in regular retail stores. If you are particular about your shoes appearance, this is a great product to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Order now The ease of using this product was what drew me to this product, my understanding is it will be discontinued so you need to buy it now it will come back in a smaller size, which is ok because the application sponge breaks down before it gets finished.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from applicator doesn't work I bought both black and brown. I pressed the applicator tip to the heel of my shoe and nothing came out. After several tries, it poured out on the floor. Both black and brown do not work properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective applicator shot black dressing all over my floor and boots I was wearing I followed the instructions on the applicator, I shook well and then pressed it against the sole edge in a small area. I pulled it away to see how it was coming on, but there was nothing. The applicator sponge was still white. I pressed again to the sole edge, pulled away, and again nothing. 3rd time as I'm pulling it away, a stream of black liquid shoots out of the applicator and lands on the floor creating a large splatter that sends little black dots onto the boots I was wearing (which are not black). I was able to mostly clean the black off of my floor with alcohol and a lot of elbow grease, but the black dots on my boots I could not remove. If I could upload pics I would. Not sure if I just got a defective applicator, but I wasn't pressing abnormally hard or doing anything extreme, and the liquid shot out upward (I wasn't holding it upside down) so there was some serious pressure built up in there. And now I have boots with black spots.

We recommend Walnut Speed Polish on the Walnut styles, along with Neutral Heel & Sole Edge Dressing. You may use the Brown or the Chili edge dressing if you'd like to add color to the sole edge. The color you choose, depends on your desired results but either color will complement the shoe. Feel free to contact us again if you have other questions.

I have both brown Higgins Mill and black Sutter Mill boots. What heel and edge dressing color is recommended for these boots?

    Asked by: Tom
You may use Neutral if you would like to apply it to the heel base and welting of the Higgins Mill #7562 and Sutter Mill #7500 styles. The rubber sole may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Some customers use the Black Heel & Sole edge dressing on rubber soles if they want to restore the color of the rubber. If you do so, we suggest masking the areas of the sole that are not black to avoid staining. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
