Heel Dressing is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Top broke off! ruined my pants and stained my carpet. I was polishing my black park avenues. I was using the Heel and Sole Edge Dressing in black. I have only used the dressing about 5 times so the bottle was almost full. I was rubbing the product on the heel of the shoe when the top part of the dressing broke off. The black liquid poured out all over my shirt, my pants my shoes and the carpet. My pants and shirt are ruined. It also poured on my shoes, and it stained the inside of my shoes and my shoetrees. It also stained the carpet which I now have to get cleaned. I also had to scrub the product off my leg, because it soaked through the pants. Contacted customer service to try and get some compensation. They offered to give me another bottle of dressing. I guess they want me to ruin another pair of pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Allen Edmonds - Heel and Edge Dressing Purchased to complement polish. As a retired military member, i take a lot of pride in the appearance and condition of my shoes, especially with the amount of money that is invested in each pair. I have for years used Kiwi and Fiebing products for sole and edge dressing. This product is on par with the other aforementioned products. The thing that caused me to provide less than stellar ratings for the product is the size based on the price of the product. What I did like most about the product is the built-in applicator and the ease of use. Having the foam applicator attached helps to avoid spilling of the product and the resulting mess that could occur. It is quick drying and provides a good shine to complement the polish on the upper portion of the shoe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good product wrong colour The product is compact and easier to use. I wish it was darker brown though. Too light in colour. Otherwise great.

What heel dressing color you recommend for Walnut McAllister Wingtip Oxford with Dainite Rubber sole?

I do prefer to use the original color that you use in the craftsmanship process. I read that I can use the brown or the chili, but I prefer to stick to the original color. Thanks, Erez
    Asked by: Erez
Hi Erez! We recommend using the neutral heel dressing for the Walnut McAllister. You can use the Chili if you decide to do so for color. It just depends on our customer's preference and how they like their shoes to look.

What color is appropriate for Chili Fifth Ave Cap-toe with Dainite rubber sole?

    Asked by: Mark
We suggest the Chili Heel Dressing on the edge of the welt and heel base. The Dainite sole is black rubber, which can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Some customers apply black dressing on the edge of the rubber. If you decide to do that, we recommend doing so carefully if you don't want the black dye to stain the welt edge or heel base. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!
