STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Classic Fit

Most people consider a “classic” fit to be a “standard” fit. This fit more closely aligns with the natural shape of your feet.

Liverpool Chelsea Dress Boot is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 148.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two Pairs_ half right I've had the Liverpool in both black and tan for four years; both still worn regularly. I ordered another pair of each, both black and tan. The black are absolutely perfect in every respect. The tan pair, although labeled with the correct size of 10 B, were entirely too big. I returned them and will again, reorder size 10B and hope that what arrives, is as good as the black ones I just received. The tan shoes are worn much more than the black, so I need them the most. I have asked AE to make the Liverpool for me in cordovan or a darker brown, but always only a polite refusal. Too bad. I'd certainly buy them and I expect a whole bunch of other fellows would also. I always order full-retail price; never sale items. Great shoes! It's a privilege to have them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AE Liverpool vs RM Williams My experience with Chelsea boots is limited to one pair of RM Williams and these. I think the AE are close in quality to RMW. I've worn the AEs a few dozen times but you wouldn't know it. The vamps are flawless without a crease yet. I like how they incorporated rubber into the sole. It makes for a nicer ride in my opinion. Back to RMW, even though obviously their boots are excellent quality, they're actually a little bit less stylish, in my opinion. Words that come to mind: country, clunky, western. Just brainstorming here. The AE Liverpools are sleek, fine, more of a city boot. Both are great, just different. Quality is excellent for both but if one had to win it would be RMW. My AEs are factory seconds so they do have some skewed stitching in one spot, but that's why they were half price. If I had to give up one it would be the RMWs, without remorse. All of this said my knowledge of shoemaking and what constitutes real quality is nearly zero.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Semi Modern Liverpool Chelsey boot I bought two pairs at the end of November 2020. I got my first pair in walnut color, and I added the day/nite sole, in green olive color. The rep at the store was very helpful at the beginning and made the process very easy. It took only 3 weeks and a half for Allen Edmonds to deliver my boots. Upon arrival the boots were right on point. They fitted really nice but this was because before ordering the day/nite sole I have my boots stretched at the store. Over all my Chelsey Liverpool boots in walnut color fitted just fine. My black Chelsey Liverpool boots didn't turn out as nice as my first pair. The rep had to order them for me since they didn't have my size in store, it took almost a month to be deliver, and this time I didn't add the day/nite solo to these boots. when the boots arrived, the sole and uppers were good but the welt and seem were really off on these boots. I returned them and the rep reordered another pair. The second pair arrived one week and a half later, it wasn't perfect and had some imperfections such as the rime of the sole being wider in some areas, the color was darker in some areas, and I couldn't get a good shine on them. I decided to keep them anyways. After 2 wears the uppers were creasing really bad, and even after I used shoetrees the creases didn't get any better. I guess the uppers are of a less quality on the black boots. The fit on these boots are fine, with ample room on the instep and toe area, but a little stretching at the store helps simnifically with the break in. The cushioning of the boots depends on the type of sole selected, for instance, my boots with the day/nite sole feel more padded and my feet feel more relax, whereas my boots with the v-tread top sole feel less padded and my feet tend to get tired rather quick. The last of the boots is modern enough, but they need more refinement to compete with European brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome factory seconds I always thought Chelsea boots looked kinda silly until I saw these on sale in factory seconds. I love the silhouette-as others have said it’s a bit squared off and western looking instead of overly fashion forward which I really like. The build quality is awesome and I love the leather and the grippy soles. I was a bit apprehensive about factory seconds after a couple terrible reviews but mine look great. There’s a Small dent in one toe and a slightly bad seam-no big deal at all since I’ll eventually scuff them up somehow. I’m pretty sure they’d take them back without a restock fee if they were utterly terrible. They’re great. They fit like any other AE shoe-get your normal size. They’re comfortable but need some break in-I’ve a bit of a hot spot in one foot as they break in(wore them twice only). It won’t take long to break in. They look very durable; I think the elastic panel will lay as long as the shoe with proper care. I like the thick supportive sole too. Overall I love these boots. I dig the understated but clear quality and silhouette. I don’t roll my cuffs or stack my pants so it’s not super apparent I’m rocking Chelsea boots. They fit my “ quiet classic Timeless style” I guess. Thanks Allen Edmonds again-big proponent of your duds and shoes! My interactions with this company over the years have been stellar. They take care of customers.

Would you recommend the Liverpool for winter with rain and snow? if not, which AE would you recommend? thanks

For winter in Germany. Im not planning to go hiking or play soccer with the boots of course, just walk in the street and everyday university activities. Thank you.

Any hope for a brown color soon?

Alaska Airlines approves new BROWN shoe and belt color for all pilots. That’s 3700 potential sales or $352k in revenue (belt and shoes). We need options for a brown dress boot and the Liverpool would be perfect. I’ve been wearing the black version for several years and always get complements; plus they are super comfortable. Please help us out by releasing a brown version and a matching belt!
    Asked by: AlaskaPilot
I'm not a pilot, but I share your desire and need for the Liverpool in a darker brown. I have asked AE to make them for me in either cordovan or a darker brown, or chili; but only a polite decline with each request.

The boots hurt my right foot's instep. Is break-in needed?

As the question stated, the boots hurt my right foot's instep even though I wear True To Size like other Allen Edmonds products I own. Do I need to wait for the boots to break-in or is going 0.5 size up a better option? I own 11E Liverpool Chelsea boots in Walnut color. One thing to note is that the left boot fits perfectly fine and comfy on my left foot.
    Asked by: Ryan.LT
I have a similar issue. My left foot is slightly wider than the right. And there are times the right feels perfect and the left is uncomfortable and gets blisters on top of the pinky toe. Believe it or not. Our feet size is not symmetrical. You are just going to have to try a size larger and see what feels better for you.

Do the wide width options use a wider forefoot only or are they wider throughout the whole shoe?

I ask because I have a normal width heel, but a wide forefoot.
    Asked by: WeltedNeusi
I have the same type of foot and they fit fine overall, a bit loose in the heel in the beginning. I ordered them in 11.5 Extra wide and they fit very well. As my foot molded into the sole, the heel felt more snug and the shoe became even more comfortable and now feels like I am wearing a glove. It is wider throughout, but I recommend you try a pair because the cork sole will mold into your foot and you will get a more custom fit.

In the Walnut model, what color is the elastic section? Can't tell from the pics if black or grey...

    Asked by: Jordan
The elastic on my Walnut colored Chelseas is a dark brown, which works nicely with the colors of the leather upper and soles.

How durable are these in comparison with the Surrey? Are they waterproof/ stain proof?

    Asked by: LawyerHulk53
Thank you for reaching out to us The durability of a boot is dependent on what it will be used for, the conditions it will be exposed to, the care it is given, and other factors. The Liverpool Chelsea Dress Boot is not water/stain proof.

What is the the exact heel height on these boots?

I like a tall heel height for the striking looks, but if it's too tall my feet get tired.
    Asked by: JayVTea
Allen Edmonds shoes and boots have a heel lift of approximately 1/2" from the bottom of the heel to the bottom of the sole.  Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.
