STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Ask & Answer
Dalton Wingtip Dress Boots with Dainite Rubber Sole is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love Dalton's especially w/Dainite! I already have 4 other pairs of AE shoes and boots including Dalton's in a different color so I was certain I'd love these in black. And glad to report these exceeded my expectations. Somehow the leather seems even thicker and of a higher quality. I use then almost daily now for work and constantly get compliments when people see they're boots. I use the newer full ankle cedar shoe trees at night to preserve them. Absolutely love the soles as well. My other Dalton's have leather soles and I'm almost anxious for them to wear thin so I can resole them with Dainite. I just bought some Higgins Mills boots in Chili. They're also high quality but will be returned. They just look a bit too boring and style deprived. Wish I could exchange them for some Chili colored Dalton's. Will need to wait for the next sale I suppose. Love this style, leather cut and look

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Awesome Men's Dress Shoes of All Time This sharp-looking pair of dress boots was my gift to myself this holiday season. They are now my "go-to" shoes for nearly every occasion, whether wearing them with my black business suit to the office, or going out with my wife to a nightclub, or wearing them with my jeans on the weekend. These shoes are sharp and appropriate for business-related events, yet also edgy and cool enough for a Saturday rooftop party or Sunday brunch. I chose the rubber sole option over the conventional smooth leather sole (because the rubber soles have better gripping compared to smooth leather soles, which can slip badly on icy sidewalks or marble floors). I walk many city blocks across the city on a typical day, and my feet and ankles actually feel better wearing these shoes than athletic shoes because the high uppers provide better support for my ankles than low-rise athletic sneakers. The high uppers also enable me to insert a good pair of Superfeet Orthotics into the footbed (good for arch support and anti-pronation heel stability) -- which I highly recommend inserting. I get many compliments on these shoes, and I've been wearing this same brand and model for many years. I walk many miles in them, then simply have them re-soled by my local shoe repair shop when the soles wear down. The shoes are water-proof, and Made in the USA. Bottom line: Cool boots wearable for many occasions. Note that each shoe seems to be handmade or slightly different, so when buying it's best to try them on and if one of the shoes does not quite feel right, simply try another one of the same size and it might be perfect for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3rd pair and still looking for a decent one... I'm now awaiting my 3rd pair, having returned 2 for quality issues. On the first the stitching on the sole was already coming apart. On the second the two soles were misshapen, if you put the shoes on the floor the toe of one one was about an 1 1/2 inches higher from the ground then the other. You could feel the difference when you put the shoes on. Unbelievable. I don't know why I'm subjecting myself to this, but hopefully 3rd time's a charm, if it wasn't for the sale price I wouldn't bother.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Boots looked great but fit was very poor and had to much leather in some places. You use to make a great shoes in my size. Now almost non existent. No true Chukka in my size with a padded collar. You Won't even special order one if you have the template at full price. You use to make cool shoes in my size with suede and shoes that didn't squeak.Have 8 pair of your shoes in my closet right now but replacement are getting few & far between.I don't need 500$ sport coats or 200$ shirt what I need is for you to be the company you were before the sale with quality shoes that fit in my size. Not mad just extremely frustrated.

Is there a padded insole? Or is it exactly the same as the leather-soles Dalton?

    Asked by: Anonymous
They come with the same insole as the regular leather-sole Dalton.

    C Width?

How much narrower is the B width vs. the D width? Unfortunately, there is no C width available...? I tried both a 10.5D and 11D in a store. The 10.5 was slightly tight in the toe area, and the 11 was too wide in general (my 5th Avenue in 11D fits perfect).
    Asked by: ML
Sounds like perhaps you'd also want to try the 10.5E, but also try different pairs of the same sizes because I've noticed inconsistencies even within the same size...Maybe because they are handmade.

Would Allen Edmonds consider making boots with safety toes?

Sometimes I need to wear safety toed shoes when in the plant and I would like some nice boots I could wear to the office and on the plant floor.
    Asked by: Benjamin
I support the request above...I'd like the option for Safety Toes in this model, preferably in a material that is lightweight. (The shoes are already a bit on the heavy side.)

What style socks should you wear with these boots? Thin dress socks or thick boot socks?

Trying to get the proper size. They feel really loose in dress socks and fit ok with thick Thorlo boot socks.
    Asked by: Nathan
For me my style is always dress socks in dress shoes. Also these are not the same as a typical work boot the fit is like a dress shoe and in order to keep from being to tight I wear dress socks .

Can I get a pair of these boots without the stylization?

I want to purchase these boots and I am not fond of the holes/stylization. Is there a way I can order them without it?
    Asked by: Sean89
I agree! I'd love a pair of these same boots to be offered in Plain-toe, not Wingtip.
