    Care Instructions

STEP 1: Using a damp cloth or sponge, lather our Saddle Soap and apply onto leather to clean and restore its natural oils.

STEP 2: Moisturize the shoes with our Cream Polish to make them supple and soft, following instructions on the product.

STEP 3: Condition the shoes with our Speed Polish, protecting them from dirt, rain and snow.

STEP 4: Take our Heel dressing applicator and apply to the edge of the heel and sole.

STEP 5: Apply our Leather Lotion as needed for added protection and polish in between cleanings. Use our Horsehair Shine Brush to buff shoes to a desired shine.

*For camo printed leather, simply rub our Leather Lotion onto print with our Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloth as needed and wipe smudges or dirt away with a damp cloth.

    Relaxed Fit

The relaxed fit has added space in the toe box. This extra room allows for thicker socks and foot expansion that occurs at the end of the day or during a long flight.

Acheson Tassel Dress Loafer is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied Just received my Acheson Tassel Dress Loafer and wearing them today for the first time. Great fit right out of the box This is a great shoe for the price. Looks very nice. Very pleased with this addition to my current 12+ pair AE collection. I've been a AE customer for over 20 years. I've never had a bad experience. I'm always nervous buying shoes online and sometimes I have to return for sizing issues. Overall an exceptional value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One Day=Five Years I read the reviews and understood the matte finish issue. What I didn’t understand was that the leather seams to be inferior and wears ‘crazy fast.’ I tied the shoes on and wore them on carpeted flooring. Fit was fine, so I applied some Saphir polish and proudly wore them outside for a day of work. By the time I came home, the leather looked like I had worn them daily for 5 years...heavy creasing throughout the shoe. I had another pair which I wore to walk ACROSS THE STREET AND BACK, and noticed how worn they looked after 200 feet of walking. I called AE, explained the situation, that I have bought many shoes from them before, I understand that shoes must be returned unworn but these are unacceptable for business wear and I have other AE tassel loafers that are 5-10 years old that look in better shape, and they asked me to send them in for review. I look forward to getting a quick refund.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed with matte finish I have worn Allen Edmonds shoes for over twenty years and I have never seen a pair with a matte finish, which is what these had. The description does not say flat black or matte black finish. Apparently this is common with this style as I have seen other reviews complain of this as well. I buy Allen Edmonds because of the fit and the finish. Although this pair fit my EEE foot, the finish is disappointing. Perhaps the finish was the reason they were on sale. On the brighter side, they did arrive a day early.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor craftsmanship Very poorly crafted. Tassels ripped the very first time worn.

I have the Lake Forrest in a 9 E. But you don’t have that size for the Acheson, which has the same last. Can I order the 8.5 EEE? Thx

    Asked by: Bo

Dudderebcesb between Acheson and Grayson prducts

    Asked by: projectpro
Thanks for your interest in our footwear! You'll find both loafers are essentially the same style, but the Acheson has a stitching detail in the back of the heel. You'll also find it will have a tighter heel. Ultimately, we recommend visiting an Allen Edmonds store for a professional fitting if you can. Hope this information helps! ~Anne

Can I wear these shoes with an orthotic?

I wear an orthotic and I need to know can this shoe accommodate them comfortably. Is this shoe the same as the Grayson; which is a little to narrow.
    Asked by: RagtopSL
You'll find the Acheson loafer doesn't include a removable insole, so we're unable to guarantee it'll fit your orthotic without you trying them on. We're so sorry about that. Most find this style roomy in the forefront, but tighter in the heel. Hope this information helps! ~Anne

Is this shoe made in a C width or only the B D E EEE I see on the website?

    Asked by: Justin
Styles are limited to the sizes/widths shown online. We recommend taking a look at the Grayson tassel loafer as that style is offered in a C width. Feel free to contact us again if you have additional questions!

This shoe looks more like the old Footjoy tassel of years ago. I wear a true 12.5 AA or 13 AAA. Does the 2042 last come in either of these sizes?

This pattern seems to have a shorter vamp and heavier Krohn seam than the Grayson also, which I prefer. Am I wrong? Thanks.
    Asked by: Dudley
The Addison tassel loafer is limited to the sizes and widths offered online. This style is constructed on the 2042 Last, whith raised moc stiching on the vamp and foxing (heel), and a wheeling detail along the welt. The 2042 is a sleeker, more fashion-forward look than our classic slip-ons. This last has a soft rounded toe, full forepart and tapered back section to promote an enhanced fit for our slip-on styles. The Grayson is constructed on the 97 last which is the best fit for the average foot. The 97 last is one of Allen Edmonds early lasts, and has a soft, slightly pointed toe. It lays flatter in the toe area for a classic American look. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

    Do you guys restock?

I've really been wanting to buy this shoe in 6.5 D but every time I come to check there is no D and every shoe I like from AE never has D. Will or do you guys ever restock? Just wondering, thanks in advance.
    Asked by: Mike
Thank you for your inquiry. Most of our styles made in a size 6.5 are made in an E width. Please call 800-235-2348 to discuss availability of 6.5D shoes.

Does the Acheson fit true to Brannock size?

I like the look of the Acheson more than the Grayson, but I'm concerned about fit. Does the Acheson run true to Brannock size (like the Grayson) or is it longer, like AE's 65-last shoes? I would go in for a fitting, but the brick-and-mortar AE stores never carry my size (6.5E or 6EEE, depending).
    Asked by: Bob
It is difficult to recommend a size through this channel and guarantee a proper fit because each style can fit differently based on the contours of your feet. Typically, we recommend trying the same size you usually wear in the same type of style and exchange if necessary based on how comfortable you feel in the shoes. All of our shoes are the same length from the heel to the ball of the foot when comparing the same size. It is vitally important to visit an Allen Edmonds retail store or retail partner for a professional fitting to increase your chances of being fit correctly for each last and style. However, keep in mind that products purchased on AllenEdmonds.com may be returned at any time, as long as the item is unused and accompanied by the packing slip. Trying the shoes on a carpeted surface will help prevent scuffing on the sole and keep the shoes in returnable condition.
